Chapter 2

Hundreds of students filled the auditorium, walking in groups as they searched for seats. But the moment I stepped inside, the room fell silent. I walked towards the nearest seat to the back because if I dared to seat in front it would be a problem. And I already had enough on my plate. I groaned as I sat on a perfect seat I found. at least it would keep me hidden for a while. I watched as students continued to fill the seat but none sat in the seat next to mine. The only students that sat close was six seats away as if avoiding me like I was a plague. If I think about it I honestly didn't know what made the students of Lunethrone treat me as an outcast. was I really that bad “um excuse me”,A soft voice called out making me jolt. I turned to look at the person and surprisingly it was a boy. “I'm sorry for scaring you I just wanted to ask if anyone is in this seat”, The Young student explained. “Nope, only me.” I answered. the student hurriedly sat as I said that and it kinda scares me. No one wants to sit near me and this feminine boy just sat next to me as if it was nothing. I could already feel eyes on me as the whispers grew loud. “sorry the inconvenience, it's just that the convocation was about the start.”The student explained. Then I sighed as I rested my back on the Velvet seat. “no need to explain. I don't own any thing here.” Soon enough the lights in the auditorium went off and only the stage had lights. The large curtains were drawn apart to reveal a young woman, more like a student, already standing on the podium looking like she had been carved from authority itself. Dressed in a tailored black suit with silver embroidery, what wasn't that on the browned hair student perfect, is he on the same level as her or what? who knows I was still in trance after seeing her when someone tapped my arm. I turned and it was the student that sat next to me. “you're gonna burn a hole in her if you keep staring”, He joked but I didn't find it funny. “and how about you mind your business”.I warned. “How rude. I'm Kelvin by the way.” He introduced himself like I didn't say anything. “she's Lisa Xender. she's the representative of the Dean.” “Kelvin did you hear what I just said or are you playing dumb with me?” I asked because I find it quite irritating when someone acts dumb with me. “yes I heard you.” he answered. “infant I should be asking you that why are you acting strange, don't you recognize me or did you lose your memory during the holiday?”, He asked. I frown in confusion because I don't even know this dude. “Excuse me?” I asked unable to hide the confusion on the face. “I used to be your closest friend in junior year even when you were bullied and now you pretend not to know me just because we're seniors.” Kelvin complained with a pout on his face. I may not know him but one thing I can't deny is that he looks cute. “what's wrong with me?” I asked myself with a small tap on my cheeks. How can I find my fellow male cute? “am sorry Kelvin I kinda hurt my head during the holiday so I don't remember much.” I said making him look at me as if he were examining me. but Kelvin just shrug his shoulders as he turned towards the stage to listen to whatever they were saying. I also turned but something caught my eye, more like someone. It looks tall and from his physiques one could tell he was a male but his face was hidden in the dark. I squint my eyes but it was no good as I sat in the far back of the auditorium. But something was strange. I felt like he was looking at me or am I just hallucinating? Today was already stressful and now I feel someone was watching me. I brushed it off as stess as I noticed the angle at which the male was standing. from the back it would seem like he's looking at you but he's not. “It's just the angle. damn I really need some sleep.” I whispered to myself. “Did you call me?” Kelvin asked but his gaze was still looking at the stage. “why would I call you?” I whispered back as I paid half attention to what they were saying. “you got a serious problem.” Kelvin said but I didn't pay mind as I saw someone that looked familiar climb the stage. It was the vice prefect from earlier. He looked the same just that his aura was different this time. He looked at the crowd of students before him before adjusting the mic to speak. “Good Day, Students of Lunethrone. I'm the vice prefect of this prestigious academy and I warmly welcome the new seniors to this academic session.” did he say warmly? after what he saw at the admin building. “it's my honor to stand today before you all at the opening convocation. I'm here to lecture you all on the school's customs and traditions…….” The vice prefect voice soon fades as I felt my eye lids close. “Hey, Tempst wake up you idiot.” someone called out as they tapped my shoulder. I slowly opened my eyes and it was Kelvin. I scoffed as I pushed his arm off me. “get away from me and let me sleep.” I grumbled as I turned to get into a more comfortable position. “I should let you be after you slept through the entire Convocation.” Kelvin words immediately made me sit upright and laugh my ass out it was true. only a few students were left in the auditorium. My gaze shifted from the students leaving to Kelvin who looked done with me. “now don't give ne that bullshit of not waking you up. you almost caused trouble for yourself by dozing off.” Kelvin scolded. “I didn't know when I slept off. you can't blame me that speech was as boring as hell.” I said as I stretched my body to relieve the ache of sleeping in a chair. “I didn't realize how much you changed,”Kelvin whispered making me look at him with a questioning gaze. “you look different.” “what do you mean I look different. am the same Tempest i didn't change. I just injured my head and that's it.” I explained hoping he would let me be but his face said another. “I want to believe that but I can't. you may have hurt your head but how did it change your appearance?” he asked making me confused. “I don't get.” Kelvin sighed as he touched the temple of his nose. “Tempest in junior year you look normal. I thought maybe when we get into senior year you would be more manly and brave to fight back but looking at you….” Kelvin paused as his gaze traveled my body. “you look more like the feminine version of yourself.” He finally said. I was startled by this. “what do you mean?” I asked, with unease in my voice. “Did you really get a head injury or did you do something else?” He asked seriously making sweat bead at the corner of my forehead. But suddenly he burst out laughing making me confused. “calm down i was just joking.” He said but I was having none of it. I stood up and stepped on his foot making him yelp in pain. “Keep that joke to yourself.” I warned. “jeez am sorry. no need to pull the girl's way of fighting back.” Kelvin apologized as he rubbed his feet. “I am a boy and not a girl got that.” I corrected him as I grabbed my back and turned to leave. “hey, why are you so scared? I never said you were a girl. am sorry wait up.” Kelvin called out but I was already walking out of the huge door of the auditorium while Kelvin leaped behind refusing to stop following me.
