The following day, mama was discharged.
Abigail bought all the drugs the doctor wrote down for Mama's speedy recovery,they left the hospital and took mama home.
She asked Matthew to boil hot water for mama, so she can have a proper bath.
"Esther went into the kitchen and prepared a nice meal for mama, so she could eat and take her drugs immediately after her shower.
Both of them left Abigail and mama alone in the room to go do as they were told.
Abigail,sit down and let's talk.
How did you get the four million naira for the surgery? It's not even a year since you moved to Lagos, where did you get that huge amount of money from?? I really want to know my daughter.
Mama, let's just be grateful that I was able to get the money for your surgery, let's leave how I got the money mama. She replied.
No, we won't leave it o my dear, I know you are working so hard to take care of us and I know you have our best interest at heart but my dear daughter, four million naira is a lot of money for a young girl like you to raise in just two days, I'm not that kind of mother that will just keep quiet about this and you know it so let's talk about it my dear where did you get the four million naira from??? Mama insisted.
Ok mama, if you insist I got it from my boss, actually it was sort of a loan, he will be deducting it little by little from my salary every month. So put your mind at rest mama. I didn't involve myself in anything dirty or commit any crime to raise the money, Don't you trust your daughter anymore.
I trust you my dear, God will bless your boss for lending you the money,he must be a really kind man, thanks so much for everything you do to provide for this family, my God shall continue to bless you abundantly in Jesus name.

"Mama you can come and bath now,the hot water is ready"
Abigail helped mama walk down to the bathroom.
After her bath, the family had lunch together, after dinner they discussed lots of things, talked about old times with her siblings,gossiped about lots of stuff.
Mana was fast asleep on the couch, when Abigail noticed this, she decided to take mama to her room to lie down.
She took her inside,covered her up with blankets so she wouldn't catch a cold.
Abigail asked Esther to go make dinner for everyone,while Daniel washes the dishes.
She went upstairs to rest a bit, and laid down to catch some sleep.
She remembered what her boss said to her about wanting a favor in return for giving her the money for her mother's surgery. "What favor could that be" "Is this man trying to sleep with me" "I just hope this favor isn't too extreme" she said to herself as different wild thoughts kept flowing through her mind.
I miss my children, Mary and John. I just hope they are doing just fine without me. I hope they are feeding well and helping my babies with their assignments.
She decided to call Mr Leonard to inform him about her mother's surgery outcome and also say hello to the children, she dialed her boss number three times, yet no response, he didn't pick up.
he is probably still busy at work,I will call him back later in the night. She thought to herself.
She slept off later on, mama was still fast asleep in her room and her younger ones were making the family dinner in the kitchen.
Mathew came to wake her up, it was 8pm in the evening already, you've slept long enough already,come have dinner Aunty Abigail (he said as he taps her feet)
She finally opened her eyes, stretched her hands and legs, is mama awake? Has she eaten? She questioned.
No I have not gone to her room to wake her, I thought to wake you up first before heading to her room to wake her up. Matthew replied.
Ok,go wake her up right away please.
He left immediately and Abigail left her bedroom and headed to the living room, she was feeling really tired and hungry.
Mama came downstairs with Matthew a few minutes later, they prayed over their food and they all enjoyed their meal. Mama took her drugs.
Abigail went back to her room to go dial her boss' number again. He should be home by now so he should be able to pick up my call this time around.
Finally Mr Leonard picked up
“Hello” she could hear his voice clear over the phone.
“Good evening sir”
Good evening, how are you
“I'm doing very fine sir, thanks for asking sir”
Sir, to the glory of God and the shame of the devil, my mother's surgery was successful and mama is perfectly fine sir.
Oh that's good, I'm glad to hear that.
I want to use this medium to thank you for the money sir, I don't take favors for granted and I shall forever remain grateful to you sir for saving my mother's life.May God continue to bless you abundantly sir.
It's fine o Abigail. He replied.
Before you end the call sir, please allow me talk to the kids sir, I have really missed them so much since I got here sir.

(Hands over the phone to Mr Tunde) Take the phone upstairs, it's Abigail on the line, she wants to speak with the children so take the phone upstairs to the children.
Ok sir, He took the phone upstairs right away.
“Hello Aunty Abigail, how are you? How have you been? When are you coming back home? I have missed you so much.
She could hear Mary lament over the phone.
My dear I'm doing fine, how are you doing? Have you guys had dinner?
No, Aunty Abigail, I miss eating your delicious food. Please come back home, John said.
Don't worry about my love, I will be home tomorrow evening. I'm sorry my love. I will cook your
best food when I get back okay.
