Prologue
I felt myself stir as I faintly heard my mother’s voice calling out to me to wake up. I woke up scrambling for life as I dug my way out of easily 8 feet of dirt, I couldn’t breath as soil and dust filled my lungs causing me to cry and claw at the earth encasing me in my once peaceful slumber. Eventually I made my way out and coughed out as much dirt as I could, my muscles were burning as I flipped myself onto my side finally being able to breath clearly. My whole body felt heavy and my once strong wings and limbs felt like nothing more than jelly, my white scales had no shine to them and almost looked matte grey from being buried for so many years. I had no idea of how long I had been there sleeping under Yggdrasil’s roots, it was long enough that it had grown into a massive tree instead of the small pitiful shrub I remember. It took the rest of my strength to lift my large scaled head to look around and make sure I was clear of danger, once I saw that no one was hear I let myself drift into a fitful sleep as my body recovered the harsh battle that I underwent to free myself.
*Much farther away with the witch goddess*
As I felt a disturbance underneath the roots of Yggdrasil I knew that my friend was successful in waking her sleeping giant. Now it was my turn to make good on my promise. I walked outside of my quant little home and made my way to a nearby waterfall that had a cave behind it. I carefully stepped onto the water creating ripples on its surface as I got closer to the caves entrance. I brushed my fingers through the spray and smiled at its warm feeling. The creatures of this forest knew this waterfall was special because of its temperature. I held out both of my hands in front of me and closed my eyes, as I began chanting the water started to glow. I felt the seal that I had placed over this very cave many many moons ago start to break. When I was finally done an enormous force followed by an ear rattling roar caused the water to fly forward. With my job being done I faded away back to my little hut that oddly enough no ones ever been able to find.
