Mandy held back her grievances, sat down, and awkwardly changed her shoes.

“Hey.” Jose finally turned to her and shouted.

“What’s up, dear?” Mandy was delighted, thinking that he knew he was too cold to her and regretted.

"I'm going to the bar after dinner,” said Jose simply, “I'll tell grandpa that I still have business affair in the company. You know what you should do if grandpa asks. He won't be happy if he knows I screw around outside so late.”

Mandy's face turned pale. He just wanted to say this to her...

Oh, cooperate with him to act in the presence of old Sterling again!

He won't be happy if he knows I screw around outside so late.” Mandy's face turned pale. He just wanted to say this to her... Oh, cooperate with him to act in the presence of old Sterling again! Since she married him and moved into the Sterling’s house, she had been acting with him every day, playing an affectionate couple in front of old Sterling. When he returned to their room and closed the door, he became cold and indifferent, maintaining a stony silence to her. On the other hand, he always went out with his evil associates secretly. Mandy jumped to her feet, unable to take care of her pregnancy, and could no longer hold back her grievance, "Jose, what are you going to do at the bar at this late hour? Can't you accompany me and the baby?" "Why are you shouting at me in such a loud voice? You want my grandfather to hear?" Jose’s face darkened when questioned. "I don’t care! Let him hear! I don't want to act anymore! Now that I'm pregnant for you, can't you show me more love and care?" Speaking of this, Mandy's eyes turned red. Jose sneered, approaching her slowly. "Mandy, don't push your luck! With your ordinary family background, you should thank god and be more than satisfied that I would like to marry you. What do you want then? You want me to be at home twenty-four hours a day to accompany you, to take you as a baby in the arms? Don't be greedy! Let me tell you, Mandy, if you cooperate with me and give me a good son, and help me please my grandfather, you are still my legal wife. If you make any trouble to me… Ha, just go away from here!” With that, he gave her a scornful glance before he headed to the next study. He even did not want to see her. The door slammed shut, shaking Mandy's body. Large tears gathered in her eyes and broke hot across her cheeks. Threatened by his last words, Mandy did not dare to cry out, afraid of being heard by old Sterling. As she silently cried, she felt a burst of convulsions of her body, mixed with a faint pain in her belly. He wasn't like that when she first knew him. Was this the punishment from God? Was she rewarded for taking her cousin’s fiancé? No -- She had to bite her teeth to get her punishment. Otherwise, Alessa would laugh at her! Anyway, she was still old Sterling's granddaughter-in-law. Alessa, what are you? You are just Brian Sterling’s underground lover! If Brian really loves Alessa, he would have made their relationship open or given Alessa a name. But now, he is only playing around with Alessa! So far, it's always me who wins! Thinking of this, Mandy wiped away her tears, a comforting smile on her lips. * After coming back to LA, Brian gave Alessa several days’ leave for a rest, and she did not have to go to work these days because of her period. After two days’ rest, Alessa got a call from Olivia who asked her to go shopping together. Alessa had been working as a secretary in the Sterling group and did not see Olivia for a long time. She missed her too, so she agreed immediately. Arriving at the mall, Olivia took her straight to a famous maternal and infant shop. Alessa stood there bug-eyed and then smiled, reaching out to touch Olivia’s abdomen. “Am I going to be a godmother? When will you and Matt get married?" They once joked in a chat that when they got married and had a baby, they would serve as the godmother of each other’s child. Olivia knocked off her hand. "What the hell! I won't get pregnant before getting married! It’s my cousin. She is pregnant and I want to buy something for her unborn baby.” Alessa laughed, "It's okay to buy a double. Anyway, you and Matt will get married sooner or later, I think I will be a godmother soon!" Olivia put her hand on Alessa’s shoulder, smiling, "What about me? When can I be a godmother?" Alessa froze, her eyes flaring momentarily, and she did not reply. Olivia gently hit herself in the mouth when she realized she had said the wrong thing. The relationship between Alessa and Brian Sterling was unclear, and Sterling had not yet revealed the identity of Alessa as his girlfriend, let alone marry her or have children. What the hell was she talking about! "Sorry, Alessa," said Olivia carefully. "Nothing." Alessa simply smiled. The calmer Alessa showed, the guiltier Olivia became. She tried to mend her ways, comforting, "Alessa, I think Mr. Sterling is nice to you. You see, he is handsome, rich enough and grand enough for elegant ladies to throw themselves at him. But he chose only you, being with you. I think you're especially important to him." Alessa pursed her lips. Olivia was still too naïve. How could a man like Brian choose a woman without a purpose? How could she tell Olivia that Brian wanted her to be his woman because he didn’t want to be threatened by Jose at first? And now he wanted her to have a baby in order to fight for power! Although Brian denied it, she couldn't guess why he chose her then. As Olivia said, so many beautiful rich ladies liked him, why did Brian, such a bachelorette, choose an orphaned girl? Anyway, it must be for his good. She pursed her lips, unwilling to talk about it, and took Olivia's arm. "Let's go shopping." They entered the maternal and infant shop. Though they had never been mothers, as women, they had a natural affinity and affection for baby products. They laughed and talked as they selected and compared the baby products. "Oh, Alessa, look at this baby's skirt. It’s really too cute!” Olivia's face shone with excitement. Alessa smiled. Her heart softened when she saw these baby clothes too. It hit her all of a sudden
