Mattie grinned. “Thanks, baby. I promise I’ll finish as quickly as I can.” “That won’t be very quick, then,” Cam said with a sly grin. Mattie responded with a chuckle and a suggestively raised eyebrow. Cam liked the sound of Mattie’s snickers. He and Mattie were clearly in a romantic relationship in this reality, but it was nice to know they could still tease each other. When Cam made jokes around Brandon, either Brandon didn’t understand why it was supposed to be funny, or he got offended and sulked for days. But Brandon wasn’t here.
