I jumped into his arms as soon as I saw him, sobbing heavily as he lifted me off the floor. He pressed his nose into my neck, inhaling softly as he caressed my back.
"You're safe," He muttered. "You're really safe. I'm sorry I wasn't around. I shouldn't have left you to leave at the office. Fuck."
"It's fine," I cupped his cheeks and looked into his eyes, smiling softly. "Thank you for coming to save me."
"Mum!" Julia cried and pulled at my dress. I turned to the both of them immediately and crouched to her level before pulling her into a hug and kissing her on the forehead. I pulled Jason into a hug and held them both close to me, remaining still and savoring their presence in my arms before I pulled away.
