Chapter Two — You Saw Nothing Aurora’s heartbeat pounded loudly in her chest. Rain continued falling heavily while the cold wind brushed against her face. Every man in the alley was staring at her now. Especially him. Lucien Blackthorn. For a second, nobody moved. Nobody spoke. Aurora immediately stepped backward in fear. “I-I’m sorry…” she whispered nervously. She turned around and started running. Fast. Her shoes splashed through rainwater while her breathing became uneven. She didn’t even know who those men were… but her instincts screamed one thing— Danger. Meanwhile, inside the alley, one of Lucien’s men spoke quietly, “Boss… should we go after her?” Lucien stayed silent for a few seconds. His dark eyes remained fixed on the direction where Aurora had disappeared. Then finally— “No.” The men looked surprised. Lucien never let witnesses walk away. Never. But tonight was different. Very different. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Aurora finally reached home completely drenched in rain. Her hands were still shaking while she locked her bedroom door behind her. “What the hell was that…?” She tried convincing herself it was just some misunderstanding. Maybe she saw wrong. Maybe those men were joking. Maybe— But deep inside… She knew that wasn’t true. That man’s eyes… They didn’t look normal. They looked dangerous. Cold. Like someone capable of destroying lives without feeling anything. Aurora quickly pushed those thoughts away and tried sleeping. But the entire night… She couldn’t stop thinking about him. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The next morning. Aurora walked into college while talking to her best friend, completely unaware that a black luxury car had already stopped outside the campus gates. Inside the car sat Lucien Blackthorn. Calmly watching her. “She studies here?” one of his men asked. Lucien didn’t answer. His eyes stayed on Aurora as she laughed softly with her friend. Completely innocent. Completely unaware… that one of the most dangerous men in the city now knew exactly who she was. And somehow… Lucien couldn’t stop thinking about her either. To Be Continued...
