Prologue "I’m innocent, Amara… Please, believe me!" Sebastian pleaded, his hands cuffed as the police held him tightly. Desperation filled his eyes, but the anger and pain consuming Amara were far greater. "Don’t take me for a fool, Sebastian!" Amara shouted. "What are these pictures, huh?! You’re unbelievable!" She furiously slapped the pictures against his face photos of him in bed with another woman. "Amara, that’s not true! Please, believe me!" Sebastian tried to move closer to her, but the police tightened their grip on him. "Enough with the drama, Sebastian!" Amara’s mother, Doña Helena, snapped, her gaze sharp and unforgiving. "You’re not just a cheater, you’re a thief! After everything we did for you, after putting you through school and giving you a job in our company, this is how you repay us? Ungrateful bastard!" "I didn’t steal anything!" he growled, his whole body trembling with anger. "Shut the f**k up, Sebastian!" Amara’s father, Don Vicente, cut him off coldly. "We have evidence. You stole from my company! You’re not just a liar you’re a criminal!" "Amara…" he whispered her name, almost pleading. "Tell me you don’t believe them…" She didn’t look at him. A storm of emotions swirled in her chest anger, pain, and utter hatred. "Take him away," she ordered coldly, her voice firm, without a hint of hesitation. She turned her back on him and never looked back. It was a tragedy that everyone tried to forget. But no matter how deeply it was buried, the past had a way of resurfacing. Ten years had passed, yet for Sebastian, the wounds of that day remained fresh.
