Once the doctor comes in to check the girls out Kal excuses himself to give them some privacy and go check on the boys. He can hear then talking as he approaches but can't quite make out the whole conversation. Before going in he takes a deep breath realizing he owes them both an apology. He didn't even realize how neglected Colin felt even though Kal felt like he was a good father figure to him clearly he had failed him. Trinity told him about her conversation with Jackson and he never thought in a million years him pushing him harder was what caused the rift between them. He was determined to try and be a better father to both of them.
