Tuesday morning, Alex is in his office bright and early, reading the notes from his case file before Donny arrives.
“Morning, Boss. Have a good night?”
Alex turns to face his computer to avoid betraying any embarrassment. “Yes, it was good to get home early for a change and spend a bit of time with the family.”
“What do you want me to do?” Donny asks.
“We need to bring this to a close as soon as we can. I’ve made a list of everything outstanding so we can chase it along. See if there’s anything you want to add.”
“I reckon I could guess what’ll be on it and I doubt you’ll miss anything important, but go on, what do you have?” Donny replies.
