First Day to Office
(Sound of the alarm going on, After turning it off and looking at the time on it)
"Even though I woke up at 6, I feel like I woke up at 4 in the morning. Well, let's put that aside. My name is Ramesh, and today is my first day at the office. I can't be late, that's why this alarm. It's so cold, I have to take a bath again."
(Looking at himself in the mirror)
"Everyone looks handsome in front of the mirror"
(Standing in front of the clothes in the closet)
I don’t understand these Software engineers mindset they always wants to show off themselves by wear good, colourful clothes so that they look good to others. But what I can do?
(Getting ready and walking towards the main door of the house)
I almost wasted the time just selecting the dress. I have to go to the bus stand quickly.
(After stepping out of the house)
I don't know why, but as soon as I step out of the house, my legs automatically start walking towards the tea stall at the end of the street.
(After reaching the shop)
I have already walked so far. Why should I go back? Already it's already a waste of time. I think I'll just smoke a cigarette.
(Thinking while he smokes a cigarette)
Drinking was easy to quit, but this cigarette is really getting to me.
(Walking out of the shop)
Now I have to walk back pass my house and go to the bus stand at the other end of the street. This is even more work. I'm getting a headache just from a cigarette.
(Waiting for the bus at the bus stand, looking at a teenager on a bike across the road)
When I didn't have a job, I used to look like him. At that time, the bus stand looked very different from the road.
(At that moment, a bus arrived, but it was full of people.)
I used to think that people who got on these crowded buses were crazy. But now I'm not so sure. If I miss this bus, I'm definitely going to be late for work. I must get in.
(The bus stops in front of the office. The person on the bus looks back at the office.)
"The office looks good. If the office is in this range, I can walk around with my collar up in my area from tomorrow."
"But let's go inside the office first."
(The person approaches the receptionist and asks:)
"Hello, I need to meet Mr. Abhipray, who is working as the manager here. Today is my joining day."
(The receptionist smiles and replies like this.)
The receptionist said, "The shift timings are not now, sir. It will take another 40 minutes, sir. Please wait in the lobby until then, sir."
Ramesh said, "No problem . Do I have to wait here compulsorily? Otherwise, I can go out for 10 minutes and come back."
The receptionist said, "You can go. Just come back before Abhipray comes."
This area is new to me. I don't know where the shops are, or if they have cigarettes. I should ask someone.
(Ramesh went to the security guard who was standing there)
Brother, where can I find cigarettes here?
(The security guard replied to Ramesh)
If you take the lift to the cellular floor, there is a shop on the right side. Look for it, sir.
(Ramesh was shocked when he heard this)
There is a shop for smokers in such a large office? What do these software people mean, bro?
(Arriving at the shop as directed by the watchman, and thinking as he looks at the shop)
Why are there so many people here? Is half the office here? If I tell them the name of the cigarette I smoke, they might think it's cheap and look down on me. Why don't I just buy it after all of them leave?
(After Buying a cigarette and sitting down nearby, lighting it)
This is my second cigarette of the day. But first, let me tell you why this job is so important to me. It's a big company with a good salary, and I don't have the talent to look for another job right now. This was just a lucky break.
I haven't told you much about myself, have I? I still have 40 minutes before I have to go. Let me fill in the gap with my story.
It took me two years after I finished my education to find a job. That should give you an idea of how my studies went. I did civil engineering, but I realized that it wasn't for me after six months of working as a site engineer.
One month later, I was holding on to civil engineering, thinking that it was a big deal.In the second month the work was good. In the third month, the job started seemed like average. It didn't take that much time to quit my job at the end of 6 months, realizing that this wasn't for me. Actually, I was fired. That's a different story. Okay, let's go to software thing. I was thinking about what to do next. The next option is software only. But my bad luck recession hit.
Here, you can understand how much bad luck I have. I was the only one in my batch who didn't get a job because of the recession. But I said, "The bad luck will always be there," .OK. No problem .By keeping it at a side and I joined in a software coaching in October, No ,No I think, it's November.
At that time, all my friends said that the recession would be temporary and that notifications would come back in January. One said January, another said March, and another said November. But after January, this is the third January, which means I've been unemployed for almost 2 years.
You know how middle-class families are. The same thing happened in my house. My father said that I didn't have a job and mother said that it was difficult to get money at home. My brother said that I should be the only one to earning.
Forgot to tell you that I have a brother named Rajesh. Don't imagine that he has a big job. Not like that. He is a bike mechanic. I am a software engineer and he is a bike mechanic, So don't you think that my parents have partiality. He also studied a little, but my parents made him a bike mechanic because he didn't like to study.
It's true that parents do whatever they can for their children. My brother is more settled than me, even after studying well, I am doing nothing and now he is taking care of the family.
