Detective Dickson 2 : The Journey begins

d**k and Lefinna had been falling from a space for quite a while, there wasn't much happening as the scenery around them had a purple colour which kept glowing, it was the same as the portal they had jumped into, after a while, they eventually landed in a wasteland, the scenery around the place where they had landed was depressing to say the least, there were bones everywhere, wrecked buildings and damaged cars, even the plants had stopped growing as they were just little shrubs of grasses everywhere, there was no sun around, just a symbol in the sky which showed a huge brown scorpion and a black snake coiled around it, the sky was unusually red and everything about the place felt dreadful.

"And I thought I had a hard life" d**k mutters out as he stares at the unbelievable horror of the area where they had landed on.

Lefinna looks around, she still had the same blank expression she usually wore in any tense situation.

"How long do you suppose the peeps here encountered the lovely mistress" d**k says facing Lefinna, Lefinna walks towards a skull on the ground which was a few inches from where she was, she crouched down, placing her right hand on the skull, all the horrors about the place was unfolded to her, it was a lovely day to the people of this universe, this place was supposedly a carnival, the people were going on fun rides with their loved ones when all of a sudden, Azexela's spawns broke loose and started a rampage on the crowd, it started off with a man who was supposedly a magician, he wanted to perform a few magic tricks, one of Azexela's spawns, the smallest on had jumped out of the hat to the man, it pushed him to the ground and began to claw out his face, the magician screamed in agony, the people underestimating the situation and thinking this was part of the show began clapping their hands and laughing.

Until the spawn had snuffed the soul-force out of the poor man and grew six feet, the people still continued clapping, it was impressive to watch, the spawn then jumped on a small boy and snapped his head from the body, the people then knew this was serious, they screamed in fear and tried to run for their lives but their efforts were futile as more of Azexelan spawns kept appearing from hidden corners and ambushing them, before long, the spawns had achieved final forms, they began to wreck the buildings placed in the area, the damaged the vehicles around and as they rampaged, the plants which were growing dies as a result of their foul aura which instantly damages plants, the dread kept happening all over the planet, people were screaming in agony everywhere until finally, the sky turned red and the sun was gone, it was then replaced with a brown scorpion curled by a black snake.

Lefinna quickly stops grasping the skull has she sees all of it, there was dread written all over her face, she had never seen anything so horrible.

"Hey, is the emotionless girl finally scared of something, so how long was it that Azexela invaded this realm, lemme take a guess, three weeks, a month" d**k smirks as he strides towards her. Lefinna turns slowly towards him.

"Two minutes" she mumbles out slowly.

"I am not asking for the maximum amount of time you can last in bed, I mean how long has it been since the spawns started invading this area" d**k asks with a sly smile. Lefinna's face shoots a scowl but she quickly maintains a blank expression, she gets up slowly to her feet, looking back at Dick

"I know what you said, the creatures were here two minutes ago, a minute in this dimension by my calculation is about twenty three hours, forty-three minutes and seventeen seconds in our universe."

"You can just approximate to a day you know, no need to be so nerdy" d**k smiles at her, Lefinna turned towards him, she had a scowl on her face.

"We will get to the bottom of this but what do you mean by creatures" d**k stares at her.

"The same we faced earlier on, turns out they are spawns of Azexela and no one seems to know about them not even Redoulp, the information about these creatures never get to a universe Azexela hasn't invaded" Lefinna explains with a tense look.

"Then we best talk to the guardian of this universe, you got any idea where we can find him" d**k says putting on a serious expression.

"That is gonna have to wait" Lefinna says to d**k.

"Why, you want our reality to wind up like this, a nice poster in the sky" d**k says aloud in a sarcastic tone.

"Look behind you, you d**k" Lefinna says sharply at him, d**k turns around slowly.

"Ooh s**t" d**k exclaims as he staggers back in haste, right before d**k's eyes was a giant beast, it was about thirty feet in height, it was on all fours like a dog, it had strange black legs with long sharp claws, the body too was big and black, the face had snakes sticking out of its two

cheeks, about six on each side, it had green eyes and no nose at all, the snakes on it's face looked like that of the king cobra, it had a long tail sticking out of its bottom which strangely resembled a scorpion's tail.

"Hey there ugly, what you doing here, Momma didn't feed you enough" d**k smirks at the creature after he had regained his composure, the creature probably flustered by what he said makes a huge snarl in his direction, d**k puts his hands to his nose.

"Damn and I thought garygoles had bad breath, now I know what caused this plants to die" d**k says as he avoid the creature's tail which had moved to hit him, d**k lands on the ground not too far away.

"I can get you mouthwash but let's be honest, we both know with a stinky breadth like that, it is useless so I am gonna do this the old fashioned way" d**k says aloud as he pulls out the golden D from his jacket

"I am gonna blow that literal s**t hole you got on your ugly face to smithereens."

The cobras on the creature's face detaches off and dashes towards d**k and Katarina, the cobra's were really big with faces about two feet tall and twelve feet long bodies. About eight went towards d**k, while the remaining four went towards Lefinna.

"Y'all are gonna regret that" d**k says as he aims his weapons at one of the cobras, it lands a hit and the snake slumps to the ground dead, two more race toward d**k, d**k leaps high in the air, he lands on one and pulls his gun to its face, he fires sending the ugly beast to its death, he points the gun behind his head, he fires and another cobra drops dead to the ground.

"That's how the pros do it" d**k grins to himself but as soon as he had spoken, a snake from overhead leaped at him and swallowed him whole.

The ugly parent creature where the cobras had detached from face curves into a smile.

The snake which had supposedly swallowed d**k head bursts suddenly, d**k appears behind it pointing his gun forward, smoke emanating from his weapon.

"This disappearing ability really does come in handy" d**k grins as he dashes towards the four cobras who were coming at him at an incredible pace, d**k disappears from their view, reappearing behind them, he fires his weapon scoring hits on all four and killing them instantly. He looked over at Lefinna, she too was done with the cobras that were chasing her.

"Saved the ugliest for the last, by killing you, the plants of this place have been done a favor by being rescued from your foul stench and your irritating aesthetic look" d**k smirks as he disappears from the area, he reappears on the head of the beast, he puts it to its head and fires off, the beast staggers back, d**k continually keeps firing in its head till after a while the beast drops to the ground and slumps to it's death, d**k put his weapon back in his jacket.

"Whoa, that was fun" d**k says as he disappears from the area where he was and reappears at Lefinna's front.

"Well, these creatures ain't done with us" she says to him.

"What now, I got one more behind me, guess I am gonna have to get more serious" d**k says aloud as he turns, it wasn't only one of the creatures that were present now, there were about seven of them, they were looking at the dead body of their comrade, they turned towards the duo's direction which an annoyed growl.

"This can't be good, more bad breadth and insufficient mouthwash" d**k mutters as he removes his weapon from his jacket, the whole area turned smoky, a shadow dashes around, it grabs d**k and Lefinna away from the area and disappears. The smoke clears, the beasts look around for the duo but they couldn't be found.

Dick and Lefinna find themselves reappearing in probably what was an underground bunker, it was full of people who looked like poor emigrants, there were small beds everywhere, a bunch of women were cooking in big pots not too far away, a few kids were kicking a small ball at each other, everyone's clothes was tattered and their faces wore sadness and depression, there were also other creatures which were green five feet tall and had pointy noses (goblins), big green creatures about seven feet also grey big creatures with mean expressions and were very muscular in nature(ogres), there were men whose upper body was human but the lower body was that of a horse and minotaurs were present too.

"Azexela sure isn't a nice lady" d**k says surveying his surroundings, Lefinna was right beside him, she was scanning the area too. A figure appears before them, it was cloaked in a black robe, the face was covered, the figure was about five feet seven inches tall.

"So you are our guardian angel huh, lemme take a guess, you are the guardian of this universe" d**k says returning his attention to the cloaked figure.

"Excellent deduction" the cloaked figure speaks as it unveils its hood, it was a female, she had long white hair and green emerald eyes, her skin was smooth but something in her eyes seemed ancient.

"Welcome to universe ACL, I am Myranha the guardian of this reality" she says aloud.

"For a while there, I thought you were an angel, didn't know universal guardians could look so hot" d**k says staring at Myranha, Myranha gives a light chuckle at the compliment.

"Redoulp told me you were coming, I was so glad to hear from him, I informed the other guardians about my situation but none came to my rescue, I am so glad to have the last alpha-human assist my universe" Myranha begins, she turns towards Lefinna

"Are you his mate" she asks.

"No no, she is my bestie, I am actually getting married this Saturday, I wanted to honeymoon here but after staying here for a few minutes, I am thinking of relocating some local criminals here" d**k grins, Myranha understood humor as she also gives a light chuckle, her laughter was pleasant to hear, it reminded d**k of happy times.

"So what happened here" d**k asks staring into her eyes.

Myranha's face turns into a sad scowl, the smile on her face had disappeared, it was replaced with an overwhelming sadness.

"It all happened a few weeks ago, my trusted spy had been facing off some of Azexela's spawns, I thought he was making jokes as the known universes that had a confrontation with Azexela had no reports of such spawns, just the mistress herself, her slave, the blue blur and a medium for her to operate in a reality. Moving on, my spy and I faced off against the blue blur but he was too much for both of us, he killed my spy in the most gruesome manner as he put his life on the line in order to enable me to escape, I escaped, not wanting his death to be in vain, I tracked down the mistress' priestess but I was helpless even against her as she utterly defeated me, I escaped barely with my life, a few days later, the priestess knowing no one was strong enough to oppose her released all of Azexela's spawns in every part of the planet, so much lives were lost, I tried to contact other guardians to come to my help but none would, I took it upon myself to do what I could, I saved the people I could and brought them underground, occasionally, I would go to the surface to source for food for my people" Myranha ends in a sad tone, her face was crestfallen, same was was for everyone else underground, they had lost all hope of ever living again, now all they did was just struggle to be alive as on the surface, Azexela's spawns which were on the surface were devouring every creature they could find, this universe was the true definition of hopelessness.
