OneNightStand
The night had started like any other, except it wasn’t. My father’s words echoed in my mind, over and over, like a broken record. Marry Caspian Knight. The name alone made my stomach churn. I didn’t know who he was—no one did. He was a ghost, a myth, the wealthiest man in Lumin City and the CEO of Knight Enterprises. Rumors swirled about him—that he was ruthless, calculating, a man in his fifties who would stop at nothing to get what he wanted. And now, apparently, what he wanted was me. My father had always been obsessed with wealth, with power, with control. Ranked among the 20th wealthiest men in the city, it was painfully clear he wasn't satisfied , he wants to be at the tipping top and the only way to do that was with the help of Caspian knight. But this? This was a new low. He wasn’t just selling me off; he was sacrificing me on the altar of his ambition. I have thought about running away; the idea has crossed my mind countless times but I can't do that ....And the worst part? He made it sound like I had a choice: "The decision is yours," he’d said. But we both knew it wasn’t. How could it be, when he’d twisted it into a threat? "If you don’t agree, I’ll hurt myself." A choice, but not really. A leash, disguised as freedom. What kind of choice was that when I have no real say? Knowing my father, he wasn’t bluffing. He was a man of his word, and if I said no, I’d spend the rest of my life wondering if I could’ve stopped him. So, here I was, the night before my wedding, drowning in vodka and desperation with one mission TO GET LAID. The Eclipse Club pulsed around me, the bass vibrating through the floor and into my bones. Lights flashed in erratic bursts, casting the crowd in a dizzying kaleidoscope of color. I didn’t care about the music, the people, or the noise. I just wanted to forget. Forget my father. Forget Caspian Knight. Forget the life that was being forced on me. I slammed the empty glass onto the bar, my fingers trembling as I gestured for another. The bartender hesitated, his eyes flicking over my flushed face "One more," I said, my voice sharper than I intended. He poured without another word, sliding the glass toward me. One more. That’s all I needed. Just enough to drown the voice in my head. Ordering drink after drink, each one burning down my throat, numbing the ache in my chest. My eyes scanned the club, searching for someone—anyone—who could help me forget. But no one caught my attention. Until I saw him. Tall, undeniably handsome, his piercing eyes locked on mine from across the bar. He was watching me, a smirk playing on his lips, and something inside me snapped. Before I could think twice, I staggered toward him, my body swaying with every step. I didn’t care who he was or what he wanted. All I knew was that he was exactly what I needed tonight. " You are really handsome. Do you want to f**k?" I slurred, my fingers tangling in his hair as I leaned in close. My breath was hot, my words reckless, but I didn’t care. Tonight, I wasn’t Kaia, the obedient daughter. Tonight, I was someone else entirely. He blinked, clearly caught off guard, but then that smirk of his widened. "Let’s get a room," he said, his voice low and husky, sending a shiver down my spine. I shook my head, my body swaying as the alcohol coursed through me. "No. Do you have a car?" I whispered, my lips brushing against his ear. His breath hitched, and for a moment, I thought he might refuse. But then he nodded, his hand gripping mine tightly as he led me through the crowd and outside. The cold night air hit my flushed skin, waking me up just enough to know what I was about to do—and not care. We reached his car—a sleek black sports car that screamed money and power. He opened the back door, and I slid inside, the leather seat cool against my skin. He followed, his body pressing into mine as he shut the door, enclosing us in darkness. His lips were on mine before I could breathe, hungry and demanding, his hands roaming my body with a desperation that matched my own. "You’re so beautiful," he whispered, his breath hot against my ear as his hands roamed my body, squeezing, touching, exploring, as if he couldn’t get enough of me. " I want to f**k you so bad." "f**k me," I moaned, my hands wrapping around his neck, pulling him closer. I didn’t care who he was. I didn’t care about anything. All I wanted was to feel something—anything—other than the crushing weight of my father’s expectations.
