Claire’s Point of View
It has been a few days since I found the anomalies in the accounts. I’m developing a plan to correct accounting errors and enhance reporting accuracy.
Working in my field feels good. My career goal was corporate accounting. James would have never let me work anywhere near an executive position, let alone my goal of becoming a Chief Financial Officer.
“Claire, can I speak to you?” Tyler says from across the room. I thought he was on a video call, so I find the timing odd.
I saunter closer to the desk as he turns the computer around to show a screen full of what looks like executives.
“I’ve been speaking to the executive team about the discrepancies you found and I’d like to say that they, and myself, would like to hire you as our professional auditor.”
