All Tyler said after my profession of love was, “I love you too.” There was nothing else that was needed, just those three words.
We are sitting in the car, heading to work. Charlie is smiling our way through the rear-view mirror.
“I like your outfit, Claire. It’s very you.” He says, complimenting me.
Tyler mumbles a bit from his seat.
“So f*****g sexy, it’s all I can do not to take her.”
A look of amusement floods Charlie’s face.
“How long have you and Camden been together?” I ask, trying to change the subject.
“Four amazing years. We had a civil ceremony two years ago, so I call him my husband.”
Tyler laughs a little.
“More like 7 years. The two of them had s*x behind everyone’s back for three years before either told us they were together.”
