Joshua's POV
My date with Mia was amazing. We started off with a few drinks in the student bar and then went on to a fancy Italian restaurant. I learnt so much about her and we had so many laughs and jokes, the conversation was easy and flowed along flawlessly. She is a Beta's daughter and originates from the Moon Lake Pack, situated in the Lake District. She is only 18 and come to York University to study Psychology. She aims to be aa therapist. She is really outgoing and so compassionate, she is going to make a wonderful Luna.
Before she moved here, she spent her spare time helping out in her pack's orphanage and occasionally helping out in the pack clinic when needed.
When our date is over, I really don’t want to walk her home. I want to bring her back to my apartment to mate and mark her as mine. I am about to suggest that when I remember what Naomi said. So I hesitantly walk her back home and give her a kiss that leaves us both breathless after arranging another date for tomorrow. I'm planning on taking her for a picnic on one of the local river barges.
I arrive home to find Naomi and Jade sat on the couch drinking wine with nervous loons on their faces. I sit down to tell them how my date with their Luna went when Naomi drunkenly shouts at me for being a dickhead and hurting Jasmine, while Jade shouts at me saying I need to be honest with Jasmine and tell her who we are because I have broken Jasmine's heart tonight by taking Mia on a date.
That is when I realise that Jasmine isn't with them.
“Where is she? And how have I broken her heart?” I ask but oh how I wish I hadn't have asked.
They both start screaming and shouting at me, yelling that I'm a bastard who has broken their best friend.
“ENOUGH!” I yell “Where is she? “ I bark using my alpha command. I never use my Alpha command on my family but I need to know where Jasmine is and why she is so upset. They both lean their heads to the side, showing their necks to me in submission.
“She is in your bed” Jade answers my command. Naomi can fight my command because she is Alpha blood but Jade is Beta blood.
“Thank you Jade. You girls go to bed and I will talk with Jasmine, but tomorrow, you will meet your Luna" I dismiss them.
I head to my bedroom and there is Jasmine on my bed in a Cami with an almost empty bottle of vodka in her hands. This woman is absolutely beautiful and I can only wish she was mine. She is everything I ever wanted in a mate.
I try to wake her up and she starts declaring her love to me and asking why Mia is good enough for me but she isn't. I try explaining it to her but she is persistent and pulls me towards her for a kiss. I tried to fight it but I have loved this girl and wanted her since the second I laid eyes on her. I let that take over me and showed her how much I loved her hours.
I woke up around 5am to find Jasmine in my bed and our recent actions came to my mind. I remembered my mate and realised I had screwed up massively. I scooped Jasmine in to my arms and carried her to her bed, hoping that she would think it was just a wet dream and not real.
After going back to sleep for a few hours, I wake up and take a shower. I look through my wardrobe trying to decide on something to wear as I'm taking Mia out for lunch. She will be arriving any moment now to meet Naomi and Jade before we head out to the local bistro. Right on time the doorbell rings. I run to answer and there she is, my beautiful mate.
"Hey" she smiles at me and I feel like just melting at her radiance.
"Hey, come on in. I'm not sure if the girls are up yet. Would you like a drink while we wait for them?"
"A glass of orange juice would be perfect" she answers and I lead her straight to the kitchen. Walking through the door, I spot Jasmine.
"s**t" I curse internally, this is not good. I was hoping she had left for her morning jog by now.
I'm about to introduce her to Mia when she drops what she is holding and runs straight out trying to hold back her tears.
The girls were right, I've broken her and she is never going to forgive me.
