Chapter 8

Joshua's POV

I honestly can not believe the disrespect that my sister has just shown me and Mia, then having the absolute cheek to kick me out of the apartmant and declare that neither of us are welcome there anymore. Ok so maybe I deserve the way she spoke to me, no doubt Jasmine told her everything, but there was no need for her to treat Mia so badly.

While Naomi was out, I introduced Mia to Jade. They hit it off straightaway and I'm pretty confident that they are going to be good friends in the future.

Me and Mia are heading out for lunch, she keeps fiddling with her hands and sneaking glances in my direction. I don't think she is comfortable with the events that transpires before we left.

When we get to the bistro, I order us both a glass of wine while we decide what to order. To say the atmosphere is tense would be an understatement. Last night, the conversation was easy and free flowing like we had known each other forever but now its awkward and uncomfortable.

I'm disturbed from my thoughts when the waitress comes over.

"Are you guys ready to order?" I glance at Mia who nods to say she is ready.

"I will take the 8oz steak medium rare with the roasted vegetables and peppercorn sauce" I tell the waitress as I hand over my menu.

The waitress turns to Mia "And what would the lady like?"

"Hmm, I will have the chicken ceasar salad please."

I'm about to ask her if everything is ok when she asks me the question I was dreading.

"What was all that about back at your place? Why was your sister so angry over a simple human?"

"Um, oh, um Jasmine is Naomi's best friend but she has some creepy obsession with me. She is always making advances on me and trying to coax me in to her bed. Last night, she tried it again after I dropped you off and I had to force her out of my room." s**t, why did I say that. If Naomi wasn't going to kill me before, she sure as hell is now.

"Wow" is Mia's response "Maybe your sister is right and you shouldnt stay there anymore and keep your distance from her"

"I was thinking the same thing. I am going to head for the packhouse when we are done here so I can speak to my dad about it" That should do the trick and make it easier to keep Mia and Jasmine apart.

Mia smiles over at me and tells me she cant wait to have a tour of the pack house and grounds.

"I'm pretty sure that will happen real soon princess. I will be letting my mum and dad know I've met you tonight. No doubt my mother will start organising a family dinner to introduce you the family" I warn her and she rewards me with a giggle and her cheeks get a slight blush to them. I can already see the excitement in her eyes. Once we graduate, she will be moving on to the pack house with me and I cant wait. Mia is everything I could have ever wanted in a mate and more.

The rest of our lunch date runs smoothly after that.

After lunch I drop Mia off at her place and head on over to the packhouse.

"Sean, where you at bud?" I mindlink my Beta.

"Well I was supposed to me at your place with Naomi but seeing as someone as pissed her off, shes cancelled on me so I'm in the gym"

Fuck, take it he's pissed at me too.

"Sorry bud, I will make it up to you. I'm on my way to the pack house, meet me there. I've got an announcement to make."

I cut the link before he has a chance to reply. Soon enough I'm pulling up at the packhouse and Sean is waiting on the porch for me with a murderous look.

"Hey bud" I start as I walk up to him but before I can say anything more, I am greeted by his fist.

"What the hell man!" I yell at him as I go to stand up but before I'm fully off the ground, he tackles me back down and starts raining punches down on me. I roll us over so I'm on top and start throwing my own punches in his direction.

"ENOUGH!" my fathers voice booms out "Both of you get up and explain what the f**k is going on here."

We both get up and gulp nervously, my father is a scary man when he's angry.

"It's nothing Uncle Joe, just a misunderstanding" Sean jumps in saving both our asses.

My father looks between the both of us before turning on his heel and heading in to the house. We follow him and I can hear Sean muttering behind me about me being an asshole, guess Naomi told him everything then.

We head in to the living room where my mum is sat on the couch watching Lucifer, the way she drools over Tom Ellis is gross.

"hey muma" I say as I walk over and kiss her on the forehead.

"Well what a pleasant surprise sweetie, we weren't expecting a visit from you this weekend" she smiles at me.

"I know mum, I came to tell you and dad that I'm moving back home and that I have found my Luna"

She jumps off the couch and throws her arms around me "That is wonderful news, isn't it wonderful Joey?" she turns to my dad but before he can respond, she turns back to me, eyebrow raised and questions me "why are you moving back home?"

I can see Sean smirking at me from the doorway.
