The Human's Special Wolf

Chapter 15

Jasmine's POV

After breakfast Alpha Daniel, Alpha Joe and I headed up to Alpha Daniel's office. And I have to say, it is pretty impressive. His desk is solid oak and sits in front of a large window that looks out over a giant swimming pool. In front of his desk are 2 chairs for visitors and to the right side of them is a couch and coffee table. Above the chair is a large canvas of a white wolf howling towards the moon.

To the left of the desk, there is a solid oak bookshelf that runs the full length of the wall.

Alpha Daniel takes one of the seats on front of his desk, turning it towards the couch and motions for Alpha Joe and I to take a seat on the couch, giving the meeting a tone of informality and ease.

"So Jasmine, we need to discuss what we can offer each other. I understand you are good at event planning?" Alpha Daniel begins the discussion. We go backwards and forwards for about an hour with Alpha Joe jumping in to describe how I planned his and Luna Sarah's wedding anniversary party.

Suddenly, there is a knock on the door.

"Come in" Alpha Daniel states without taking his eyes off me. In comes Lydia and I can smell the beautiful caffeine she has brought along with her. I go to grab myself a cup of the delicious golden liquid but she smacks my hand away.

"The coffee is for the Alphas dear, no caffeine for you but I have brought you some ginger tea with my special addes ingredient for you" she winks at me.

I pout at not being allowed coffee which earns me a chuckle from Alpha Joe. He has come to learn that I love coffee more than life itself over the past month.

I reluctantly take the ginger tea, thanking Lydia and take a sip. Its not as delicious as coffee but my god it is heavenly.

"What is your special ingredient?" I ask her.

"If I told you, I would have to kill you" she winks at me again and exits out of the office.

After a bit more talking about my duties in the pack, I ask Alpha Daniel about the pack and how it runs.

"I think we have been sat in this office long enough Jasmine. Granny is on her way to collect you. She is going to give you a tour of the territory and explain how everything runs. Your tour includes a visit to the pack clinic so please book yourself an appointment with the doctor while you are there"

"You're not joining me on the tour?" I ask Alpha Daniel.

"Usually I would but me and Alpha Joe need to sort out the paperwork for our alliance, plus Granny insisted on being the one to give you the tour as she wants to talk to you about werewolf pregnancies and what to expect"

Oh goddess, I am dreading this talk. Granny already dropped the bombshell about the pregnancy only being 5 months long, what more is there to talk about?

Just at that momemt, granny waltzed in to the office. "Jasmine, child, are you ready to go?"

I nodded my head at her and followed her out of the door. The first destination on the tour is my new office. It is incredibly beautiful. The woodwork is all Mahogany and it has a seperate seating area like Alpha Daniel's office. There is also a mini fridge hiding under the desk. I smile to myself, it is big enough to keep some energy drinks and wine in once I can drink again.

Granny points me to a large portrait on the wall "This is the moon goddess Selene and her first wolf child"

Selene is absolutley, hands down, the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen. Her hair is silver and hangs below her backside, her eyes are the most vibrant blue and she is wearing a long silky white dress. Her hand rests on the head of a beautiful silver wolf. The wolf's fur is the exaxt same shade as Selene's hair but the wolf has the most mesemering Lilac eyes. I am in awe at their beauty and just stood staring at the picture when granny clears her throat. "This is not just a beautiful painting my dear, this is also the door to the Luna's panic room"

I look at granny quizically and she immediatly runs her fingers round the frame, suddenly there is a click and the portrait moves to make way for a passageway.

"All rooms on the top 4 floors have their own panic room incase the attack siren sounds and you dont have time to make it to the underground bunker" granny informs.

"How often do attacks happen and what are these attacks?"

Granny goes on to tell me about rogues. Rogues are wolves that have been banished from their packs for their crimes or have left have their own accord. Most rogues are dangerous and are more animal than human when they dont have the suppprt of a pack. Some rogues are friendly and pose no threat but they are few and far between. Apparantly, the Snow Pack doesnt suffer many attacks because it is widely known that they have witches, warlocks and vampires as part of the pack making it a suicide mission to even think about attacking.

Granny decides it is time to show me the rest of the pack house before heading to the pack clinic. She explains all the floors to me. The top floor, where I am staying is the Alpha floor, the 4th floor is for the Beta and Gamma families, the 3rd floor is for visitors and guests, the 2nd and 1st floor are for unmated warriors and guards. Their floors being the lowest so that they can be on the pack lands quickly in the event of an attack. Mated warriors and guards have homes around the territory along with the rest of the pack. The ground floor houses 2 living rooms, one for the pack members to use and one for the Alpha family to host visitors. There is also a games room, a cinema, an indoor swimming pool, a conference room, grand ball room, dining room and the kitchen.

We are just heading in to the dining room when a question came to mind that I was wanting to ask last night.

"Granny, how many members are in the pack?"

"We are around 2,000 in numbers"

Wow, is all I can think.

"How many members can the dining room serve?" I am intrigued now at how they can possibly feed everyone at the same time.

"The dining room can seat 250 members at any given time. Most families eat at home and breakfast is served between 5am and 11am to ensure everyone gets fed"

"Breakfast is 6 hours long?" I am shocked to say the least.

"Yes, child it is. The warriors and guards all have different shift patterns so in order to make sure they are all fed, breakfast needs to be available for a good amount of time."

"Is there anything else I should know about meal times?"

"Good question child, there is indeed more you need to know. Omegas are in charge of making breakfast, Lunch and Tea monday to Friday. We give them the weekends off so it is down to each individual to make their own meals at the weekend"

That is impressive, Luna Sarah told me how some packs work their omegas like slaves and have themon call 24/7.

After the house, it is time for the pack clinic. I am really impressed when I walk in, it looks like a proper hospital. Granny walks over to receptionist desk and asks the she wolf, whose name I can read on her badge is Eva.

"Take a seat Luna and Dr Bennet will be right with you" Eva gives Granny a mega watt smile.

"Thank you Eva but I havent been Luna for a long time now so call me granny like I keep telling you"

"But you are back doing Luna duties Granny so it is only decent of me to call you Luna" Eva smiles nervously at granny.

"Did you not get Daniel's announcement yesterday Eva? I am no longer doing Luna duties. This little sweetheart over here is taking over and letting me go back in to retirement" Granny smiles towards me with a look of pride in her eyes but Eva is scowling at me.

I am sat staring back at Eva wondering what I have done to piss off someone I have only just met when a doctor comes in to the room saying hello to Tina, I look around to see who Tina is but there is no one other than me and granny here. I see granny standing up and going towards the doctor and it clicks that granny is Tina.

"My beautiful nephew, I would like you to meet Jasmine" and she gestures for me to stand up.

"Hello, Jasmine, I am Dr Bennet, it is nice to meet you" he holds out his hand for me to shake and I return the gesture.

"Jasmine is taking over my luna duties Ronald, she is human but pregnant with an Alpha pup, could you please make her an appointment to check on the pup, she only found out a few weeks ago?" I notice out of the corner of my eye that Eva is not happy at this news, her anger is clearly shown on her face. f**k is her problem?

Dr bennett turns to me and tells me he can see me tomorrow at 1pm. We thank him and make our way back to the house. Granny is going to show me the training grounds next.

As we are walking through the house, Naomi and Jade come running at me. Jade grabs my arm "we are coming to the training grounds with you, I want to see all them hot, sweaty, half naked men in action!" she declares. I shake my head and laugh at her. The girl is nothing more than a horny animal.
