Chapter 3

Joshua's POV

Today has been an amazing day, I finally met my mate and she agreed to dinner with me. Something isn't right with my bestie Jasmine though, she just jumped up and ran out of the canteen and missed the rest of her afternoon classes which is unlike her. I mindlinked my sister asking her if everything was ok with Jasmine but she told me not to ask and give Jasmine space. I can't give her space though. I have been in love with her for 2 years now. I've never acted on my feelings though. Why? You may ask, I am a werewolf and she is a human who knows nothing of our world. I am not just any regular werewolf though, I am soon to be Alpha of the White Rose Pack, the biggest and strongest pack in Britain. I am destined a soulmate, hand picked for me by the moon goddess, Selene. As much as I am in love with Jasmine, I can not act on them feelings. Many Alphas and Alphas to be will take advantage of their position to bed any she wolf or human that throws themselves at them, but I'm not that type of Alpha, I've been keeping myself pure for my mate.

As I'm walking back to the apartment, I decide to ask the girls for help with my date tonight. It needs to be perfect as Mia is the woman I am destined to spend the rest of my life and rule side by side with.

When I get home, I ask Jasmine to help me get ready. She seems hesitant at first but agrees to help. We go to my room and there we find my sister and cousin. My sister, Naomi, is mated to my Beta Sean. He is my second in command making Naomi the Beta Female and my Luna's second in command.

While getting ready, Jasmine jumps up and announces she is popping to the shop. I hope she is back before I leave, my hopes are dashed though. I am ready to leave and go pick up Mia.

“ Naomi, if things go well tonight with me and Mia, I will he bringing her back here so you can properly meet your Luna and she can meet her new family" I say to my sister as I am leaving.

“Please do not bring her back here tonight Joshy. I am excited to get to know your mate properly but not tonight and not here" she pleads.

I nod to say ok and head out the door to meet my one and only. But I am wondering why Naomi doesn't want to meet Mia properly. She should want to start getting to know her straightaway as they will be working alongside one another when we take up our positions, so it is important them to be friends.
