When Darius called every council member and leader up into the hall for an emergency meeting, I found myself shivering at the moment I realized that he had noticed a rebellion and was calling out for anyone who wanted to take over the alpha throne. A lot of things were running in my mind, and that was a question: if he found out that I was the one who wanted to take the throne away from him and he invited me into a duel, it only meant that I would be dead.
It was by the grace of the goddess that I was able to leave that hall without revealing how fearful I was because as I stepped out of the hall, I was still shivering in fear.
