I was staring at him, waiting anxiously to hear what he was going to give to me as an explanation for this folly that he had come to express to me as a decision that he had made. This was not something I was going to appreciate or accept no matter what I was told, and as I stood staring at him, all I wanted to hear was an explanation from him.
