Chapter Three

802 Words
Cassandra Pov I'm walking around the pack grounds checking if all is well. After the attack weeks ago, we are rebuilding, luckily not too much damage on properties was done, the town remains as beautiful as ever since we didn't let the rogues past the second gate. " Hello, Luna Cassy," A few high schools girls bow to me. I nod and smile then walk past them " Omg, the Luna is so beautiful," I hear whispering. I go to Mr. Ackson's bakery shop, the man's face lits up when he sees me enter, " Luna!" He holds both my hands and kisses my cheek, he likes to do that. " Hello, is everything alright?" He asks. I smile at the nice man before responding, " Yes, I'm here to order a cake for Kyle," My son's favorite dessert is chocolate cake, well, I hate it. " You could have called and I would have delivered it personally, Madame," he says, I shake my head. " I wanted to take a stroll," I inform him. I invite Lani for a chat, she hates that I'm leaving but I promise to Skype and all. It wasn't easy convincing Dylan but finally, he gave in. When I reach the packhouse, I start making dinner, the members like my food so I make enough for everyone with the help of the chefs. I wear Dylan's boxers and a small shirt for bed, he likes it when I do, I also have packed so many of his clothes in my suitcases. When I come back out of the bathroom, Dylan is already on the bed, he looks like he's in deep thoughts and I slip beside him, I kiss his lips and wrap my arms around his torso. We stay silent for a long time, it's peaceful and wonderful like this, hearing the pounding of our hearts is music to my ears. He breaks the silence by saying, " Marry me," I sit up straight and narrow my eyes, I shake my head and lay it back on his torso. " I'm not joking, Cassy, I want you to be my wife for real," I sigh and sit next to him, I take his face between my hands " No," My answer shocks him, I love and respect Dylan forever but the only reason he's asking me this is to stop me from going to the rogues. " Why?" He stresses, getting out of bed now while I sit at the edge. Dylan looks worried. " Are you breaking up with me?" I chuckle and shake my head negatively, " No baby, I'd never," He turns and gets on one knee, putting a hand on his leg. " Then why won't you marry me?" He questions seriously. I kiss his frown away, " Because you are only asking that to prevent me from going to the rogues," My voice is gentle. He scowls and gets to his feet. " I've been wanting to marry you since the first day I saw you," he smiles. I blush, it's surreal how our relationship has blossomed into a beautiful thing, so real, it was a few years ago that he rejected me and look at us now, he doesn't want to part from me. I kiss him again and again, a habit of mine, " Yes, and we will get married," I put a hand on his shoulder and say gently, " All in due time, I love you mate," Dylan is smiling at me, I must have done or said something right, he grabs me by my ass, squeezes it then carries me in arms, twirling me. " I love you, my sunshine princess," We stay in an embrace for a while and when he detaches himself, he asks, " When are you leaving?" " Next week," He exhales and touches my side gently. " I'm proud of you," he kisses me again. We break the kiss when the door opens, we turn to our bundle of joy and smile. " Kyle, come," I call him. Dylan picks him up and I wipe the chocolate cake off his mouth. " Did you get another piece?" Kyle's eyes widen and slowly shakes his head. " No, mummy," I'm looking at him seriously. " Are you lying to me?" My son firmly shakes his head, no. I sigh, " Dylan, talk to your son," My mate puts him on the bed, " K, look at me?" He looks up to his father, " What did we say about lying?" Kyle's face deflates as he responds. " That- it's bad," I watch the two boys in my life talk, and a smile makes its way to my lips, my heart Is full and content as I watch the two like this.
