“Yes. I came as backup.” Daven uttered as he looked into the eye of the one questioning him. He knew they were suspicious of him already but he wasn't fazed.
He didn't do anything wrong after all, he only saved people who could have died due to their short-staffed situation.
“What unit are you from?” However, the paramedic didn't back down as he didn't fully trust Daven’s words. “I will call them up and ask–”
“Are you really doubting someone who healed us?” One of the patients stepped forward, angry that the paramedic was butting in. “Look at me, I feel healthy! If he wasn't a doctor, do you think he could treat me?”
“That’s the problem here!” The paramedic faced the patients. “If he really treated you, then you are not supposed to be completely healed just yet. What did he do?”
“We need to confirm…” The paramedic turn in the direction where Daven had been standing but he was long gone.
On the other hand, Daven took the opportunity to leave while the paramedics were focused on the patients, he quietly slipped away, thrashing the uniform he stole earlier.
Though he wanted to listen to the patients and know how they felt, he knew it wasn't the right time to do so. Whether his new found ability was a blessing or curse, he still needed to know.
At the same time, the System’s voice resounded in his mind.
[Congratulations, Daven King! You have successfully concluded the task! You have earned 1000 points and 1 million dollars!]

Daven froze at first, but then the words kept ringing in his mind.
“1 million dollars!”
He whipped out his phone and at the same time, a credit alert notification popped and it was like his eyes were about to pop out of their sockets.
“I am rich! I am f*****g rich!” He screamed, in the middle of the road and heads turned to look at him like he had gone nuts.
However, he didn't mind their gaze, all he knew was that he was rich.
“Father…” He muttered, recalling he had something to do. He stopped a taxi and held his phone and card with a strong grip and then a confident smile formed on his face. He realized that there was a certain confidence and assurance money brought and it was the first time in his life he felt such a way.
Finally, he reached home and when he dashed inside, Arya was already waiting on him with an angry expression.
“Where have you been? You left us here without a word–”
However, Daven didn't even listen to her, as he rushed straight into his father's bedroom. He was still in the same position from earlier and he quickly rushed to sit by his father’s side.
“Father, I am here. I will get you treated at all costs.” As he spoke, he was a bit afraid to touch his father, not knowing what he would find.
But when he finally did, the system’s voice resounded again.
[Do you to download medical diagnosis, yes or no?]
“Yes.” He breathed.
Immediately, Daven’s mind opened and the system started to connect webs together and in ten seconds, a full diagnosis was registered in his mind.
[Name: James King.

“Oh no…” Daven’s gaze dimmed slightly. The word emergency kept blaring in his head and he ordered Arya, “Get a taxi now! We need to take Father to the hospital.”
“What? Are you a doctor now?” Arya sneered but her reaction only got Daven angry.
“Get a taxi! Damn it!” He snapped.
Arya realized he was serious and quickly rushed out of the house while Daven carried his father on his back. He rushed out of the house and was glad that the taxi had arrived.
The hospital they frequented never told them of any brain tumor. Hell, they were not even able to afford any scans recommended by the hospital and his father only kept taking painkillers to suppress his pain.
On the other hand, Arya wondered why her brother was being so hasty. Their father was just weak, just like always and nothing unusual was happening. Even James King was surprised by his son’s unusual actions.
Finally, they reached the hospital and Daven was immediately rushed to the emergency unit.
“What’s going on?” A nurse on duty immediately ran forward.
“My father is dying, save him. He has a tumor in his brain!” Daven yelled. His stance showed that he was sure of whatever he was saying which caused the nurse to take a double take at him.
Daven’s clothes were shabby and he looked like an average college student who didn't know his right from wrong.
However, with his gaze, she decided not to oppose him. She immediately laid James King onto a stretcher and a doctor ordered CT scans and a general body check-up.
On the other hand, Daven and Arya stayed back, waiting for the results to be out. However, Arya made sure to stand a few steps away from him.
She felt he had gone crazy.
Two hours passed and James King was finally pushed out, with him fast asleep on the stretcher. However, the sight wasn't what Daven wanted to see.
“Why are you pushing him out?” Daven demanded. He needs surgery!”
“No, he doesn't!” The doctor opposed it. “The scans came back with nothing. I am afraid your father’s illness may be because of old age or something...”
“Or something? You aren’t even sure!” Daven countered, his gaze darkening. He was sure the system in his body couldn't be wrong.
“Do you want money? Tell me! I will pay for anything! Just treat my father!” He continued, attracting the attention of everyone around.
His father had woken up and seeing Daven ordering the doctors around, he felt a headache incoming.
On the other hand, the doctor had already paged security and soon, they had their hands on Daven, dragging him out of the ward.
Arya was already out of the ward as she couldn't stand the embarrassment Daven was displaying and as he was escorted out, she looked at her brother with a disappointed expression.
However, Daven didn't leave or care about what she thought. He stood outside the wardroom and he saw that the doctor and nurses had crowded around his father again.
“Doctor, quick! He is going into shock!” They yelled.
