“Well that’s a loaded question.” Jude grinned.
“I’m sorry, you don’t have to…”
“Yes, I do need to tell you. If we want this relationship to go any further, we need to share with each other what we want, love, and believe about life.” Jude picked up his coffee cup and made a face. “I need more coffee for this conversation. How about you?”
I handed him my mug and a minute later he handed it back full.
“Do I believe in God?” Jude said, then winked. “I don’t know if a God exists or not, and it's impossible to prove the existence of a higher power.”
I must have made a face, because Jude put his coffee cup down and held out his hand for me to take. My fingers slid into his, and I shut my eyes for a second, loving the feel of his touch.
