Elsa With shaking hands, I dialed Kane’s number. It rang for what felt like an eternity before he finally picked up. “Elsa,” he said, his voice sharp and filled with an edge of accusation. “What did you do? Adam’s been acting crazy all morning.” The dam broke then, and I couldn’t hold back the tears anymore.
