Chapter 8 Congratulations your three weeks pregnant

Eliza went to the hospital the next day and the doctor said it was just a fever surprising Jason and some of the girls who suspected that she was pregnant. But despite the medication she took, Eliza felt that she was not getting better. Today was the third day after their trip to the hospital and Eliza just stood beside her mirror
What is wrong with me? She asked herself. Although the doctor had confirmed that it was. a. minor fever, she could feel it was something else.
"Liz, we're going out" Suddenly the door to her room was opened and Alisa walked in
Eliza turned towards the direction of the voice
"Where are you going?" She asked with one of her brows hooked up
"Well... we have been cooped up in this place long enough, I just want to treat the little ones to a nice time" Alisa answered shifting from one foot to the other.
" Really?" Eliza teased. She was sure that they were going to Jason's birthday party
"Fine, we won't take long. Just wish him a happy birthday and come back" Alisa knew she had been caught, so the best thing was just to beg
"Pleaseeee"
Taking a deep breath, Eliza knew that even if she said no, they would eventually go behind her back because she didn't have much strength to watch over them.
"Be back before 9"
Alisa pleading face did a 360 and transformed to one of joy.
"Thank you thank you thank you" She then bolted out of her room to tell the others.
There was a reason why it was Alisa that was sent to tell her and not any of the others. The first was because she was the eldest and most reasonable among all the kids Eliza cares for, while the second was that, she was the first to become close to Eliza. Before the rich kids came, it was mostly her and Eliza conversing.
About two hours after they had all gone out, Eliza felt her forehead and could feel her temperature rising, and then she had the urge to throw up.
After throwing up, Eliza decided to go to the hospital again so they could prescribe something that would actually work.

"The medicines you gave me last time are not working, I still have stomach aches and now I throw up" Eliza complained to the female doctor who was also the doctor that treated her the last time.
"Miss, I think we should run more tests on you" The doctor suggested and Eliza agreed.
Half an hour later the doctor came back with the test results in her hand.
"So what's wrong with me doctor?" Eliza asked with anticipation as she sat down one the bed which was was lying down on before the doctor arrived.
The doctor opened it and smiled
"Congratulations ma'am, your three weeks pregnant"
Eliza felt like the world had been put on pause.
She was what?
No no no this couldn't be happening, it can't be
Eliza shook her head, maybe she didn't hear it clearly
"Doc, what did you say?" She asked hoping it wasn't true
The doctor was a bit surprised to see how the woman in front of her was reacting. This was good news right?
"I said that your three weeks pregnant!"
Eliza couldn't feel anything anymore, the doctor said it again. Her vision then suddenly turn dark and she lost consciousness.
Eliza woke up an hour later with a head ache
"Are you alright?" The doctor asked with concern. When the lady had slumped she quickly administered treatments to her. But she was surprised, why wasn't she happy.
A baby was suppose to be a thing of joy, why was this beautiful young lady so scared. She agreed the girl looked a bit young, but a baby was nothing she and her husband wouldn't be able to handle, right?
"What happened?" Eliza asked as she looked around.
"What was the last thing you remember?" The doctor did not want to aggravate Eliza state of health, that was why she preferred to ask what she remembered
"I... I.. I remember you saying that I needed to take more tests, and the you coming back with the test results and ..."
" And what..." The doctor persisted. It was better for her to remember what had happened herself.
"and.. then you said that I was..." Eliza eyes widened.
She was pregnant!
"No.. how can this be possible?" She asked no one in particular hee face looking horrid
The doctor took it like she was asking hee and so she answered.
"Do you need me to explain how babies are formed?" The doctor joked.
But Eliza didn't find it funny
"The last time I came here you said that it was just a fever"
"Pregnancies are hard to tell at an early age, and I must apologize it was my fault for not requesting a pregnancy test earlier
But if I may ask, why are you so terrified about tour pregnancy? What about your husband?" She. asked about of concern.
Hearing the word husband, Eliza's head began to spin. She didn't even have a boyfriend not to talk of a husband.
The doctor saw her hesitance to answer the question and that was when she understood
"I'm sorry, I did not know that you don't have a man"
" It's fine" Eliza couldn't blame anyone. It was her mistake
"So what are you going to do? Are you going to abort the child?" The doctor asked. The lady in front of her was still very young. If she decides to abort the child she could continue living her life
Eliza crunched her face in confusion. Although she didn't want to have a baby, she never thought of aborting it. It was her first baby, how could she abort it?
"I don't know" Eliza muttered with a small voice.
The doctor understood her and knew she needed some space, she patted her back softly
"Think about it".

Eliza went back home with tears in her eyes.
She was pregnant!
She was carrying a life in her!!
Eliza still couldn't believe it.
"She's back". Amelia's shout brought Eliza back to reality
"Eliza!"
"Thank God your safe" Everyone present in the house ran down to hug Eliza.
"Where did you go?" Alisa being the oldest asked.
Eliza didn't know how to answer so she changed the topic.
"You guys are back early"
"Yes, we did not want you to worry" . John answered
But Alisa kept glaring at Eliza so she just had to say something
" I went for a walk to clear my head, and as you can see, it worked." Eliza thought of telling them about her pregnancy, but decided against it. She would tell them when the time was right.
" I'm tired, I'll be in my room".

Eliza just finished her morning chores. It's been two weeks since she found out she was pregnant and two weeks since she decided to keep the baby.
She hadn't told the kids yet, still waiting for the right time, but one thing was for sure, she was not telling the the baby's father any time soon.
She had just finished her morning duties and was about heading out when she heard her phone ring. It was an unknown caller
"Hello" She answered
"Elizabeth how are you?" The unknown caller called her but her name. Eliza heart began to beat faster, the voice was just so familiar
"Who is this?" She asked her breath coming out in slow pants.
"How can you forget your mother Elizabeth, anyways I forgive you. I just want to let you know that I'm aware of your pregnancy and also the fact that the young Billionaire CEO Mason Kendell is the father". The caller said surprising the already shocked Eliza. When Eliza heard it was her mother she froze , but when she heard that her mother knew she pregnant, she almost fainted out of surprise.
"What?"
"Don't worry, your father and I have decided to set your marriage with young master Kendell."
Eliza turned pale, what was this? Mrs Taylor didn't even notice Eliza's speechlessness, she just continued blabbing
"... I always knew you would make us proud. And you did it.."
Eliza couldn't hear anything her mother said anymore, the question on her mind was
