Mira froze the moment the man stepped into her office. His scent hit her first, something familiar. Her wolf stirred restlessly beneath her skin. No... it couldn’t be.
But as his piercing blue eyes met hers, her breath seized.
The man who stood before her was the same one she had spent one unforgettable night with five years ago, the night that had changed everything. The night in which she conceived Jamie.
Mira was a bit uncomfortable with this discovery until she realized something. Finn's gaze was blank as if he didn't recognize her.
“Luna Mira, are you alright?” Finn asks calmly.
Mira instantly comes back to her senses and she brings out the portfolio to be discussed.
They spoke business, the upcoming alliance between their packs. Mira forced her voice to stay steady, discussing strategy, trade routes, and joint patrols. But all the while, she wondered if he could feel it too. The pull of the bond faintly between them.
After a few minutes, Finn finally left and Mira could breath easily. She was a bit confused about his attitude. Did he really not recall that night or was he pretending not to.
The moment her office door shut, she picked up her mobile phone immediately and called her Beta, Rosa.
“Find out everything you can about Alpha Finn,” she ordered. “Everything.”
Meanwhile, inside his car, Finn pressed his fingers to his temple as a sharp pain sliced through his skull. His Beta glanced at him nervously.
“Alpha? Are you alright?”
“Just a headache,” Finn muttered, but his wolf stirred weakly inside him. The ache behind his eyes grew worse.
Five years ago, he’d been ambushed outside a hotel and he lost his memories after that day. He never recalled who he’d been with, or what had happened. The poison they’d used had dulled not only his mind but his wolf’s powers.
Now, for the first time in years, his wolf was growling again, making him restless.
Beta Rowan drove him straight to his therapist. After a long session, the doctor leaned back, thoughtful.
“You may have encountered someone from your past,” she said. “Your brain is trying to recall suppressed memories.”
Finn’s jaw tightened, he tried to recall today's activities and then his thoughts went to Mira. She was the only strange person he encountered earlier.
After they left the therapist, he ordered Rowan. “Run a background check on Luna Mira,”
That evening, Finn sat in his study, staring blankly at reports when Anita, his fiancée, walked in. Anita had claimed she spent the night with him at the hotel before the attack which claimed his memory, he had no choice but to take her in as hi fiance to cover up for that night as a compensation.
For what he knows, Anita has been in love with him from childhood days and she was his gamma's daughter.
Anita wore a silk robe and a forced smile. “You’ve been avoiding me again,” she said softly, perching on his desk.
“Anita,” he sighed, “we agreed this engagement is for the elders. Nothing more.”
“You can’t keep avoiding the truth, Finn. I’m not getting younger, and this pack needs an heir.” she argued.
Since that incident, he has never touched her. Anita was getting fed up already.
She wanted the Luna title, power and marriage. But he wasn't giving her any. Just the position of his fiance.
“I’m not ready,” Finn replied after a long silence but Anita was insistent. She leaned, trying to kiss him but he pushed her off his body making her fall to the hard marble floor.
“Get out!” He yelled in rage,
Anita quickly left the study. But she wasn't through with him. She'd slipped a pill into the glass of milk on his table.
As Finn worked on the papers on his desk, his phone buzzed, carrying a text message from Mira.
Immediately he reads it, he jerks without a second thought and he leaves the mansion, unaware of what Anita had slipped into his drink.

The atmosphere at the bar wasn't too intense as they met. The burgundy lights shined on them both sitting near the counter at the VIP room. Mira apologized for summoning him so late. “I just received intel about an attack. I need a few of your warriors on standby,” she said urgently.
Although they haven't finalized their agreement, Finn couldn't refuse to help her.
“Consider it done. I’ll have my men on alert.” Finn replied casually.
“Thank you,” Mira says.
“Do you need me to order a drink? My treat” she says, but soon noticed something off about his actions.
Finn swayed uncomfortably, his breathing seemed haggard.
“Alpha Finn, are you alright?” she asked, concerned in her tone.
“I…. don’t know,” he muttered, the heat rising in his body uncontrollably.
Before she could react, he stepped closer, his eyes burning gold. “Mira…”
She barely had time to breathe before he kissed her passionately.
Her wolf roared in recognition, mate!. And all the resistance she’d tried to summon shattered.
In the haze of heat and longing, Mira realized something was wrong, he wasn't himself. But it was too late. His touch, his scent, his hunger…
“Help me…” he muttered lastly..
“Oh no.. He's been drugged” Mira says under her breath.
Later, under the moonlight in the backseat of his car, their bodies slammed against each other swiftly, their kisses and groans filled the car.
Mira felt immense pleasure than she's ever felt before. With Finn's groans and his endless thrusts into her p***y…
“Ahhh.” She cries out in pleasure, pinching her fingers into his back..
Mate! Her wolf growls again.
