Mira I arrived at the premises of the Moon-Stone Company with a basket containing homemade means and freshly baked cookies in my hands which I'd spent all day preparing in order to celebrate my husband's recent victory in the pack. Today being our third year anniversary as well, I'd prepared a surprise dinner party for him, hoping he'd come home later to join us and celebrate as much as he deserved. Alpha Simon has been my husband for the past four years, a marriage filled with love, trust and bliss. Even though we weren't fated mates, he chose me to be his Luna and he vowed to love me as well. I Loved him so I trusted him, I did everything in my power to make sure I helped his pack move forward and prosper. To him, I was just a housewife and his Luna. But in the outside world, I am a heiress and the Luna to the Black Moon pack of the West region. One of the three most powerful packs in the world. For the last five years since I've known Simon, I've kept my identity as a white wolf hidden. I lied to him about not having a wolf and also kept my identity away since my father considered him as an enemy. He'd never liked Simon from onset, due to a long-term beef he held with Alpha Greg, Simon's father in the past. He thinks Simon was the same as his father so he never approved of our marriage. I've always loved Simon since I set my eyes on him that night at my father's banquet hall. That night when my identity was supposed to be announced, I begged my father to keep it hidden so I could pursue Simon. We met on some other days and we fell in love. I told Simon that I was an orphan and had no identity yet he still married me and made me his Luna. However, we've been trying for a child for years but we never got one. According to the rumors, I couldn't get pregnant for him because I wasn't his fated mate. Simon and I didn't care about what people said, we still continued our relationship and hope we have a child some day. I was so excited to finally see him after being away from him all day. He must've been so worked up from all the work he'd done, I couldn't wait to surprise him with dinner later after this meal. I briefly spoke with the receptionist who told me where his office was. But as I tried to go further, she stopped me. “Ma'am, you cannot go inside, the alpha is busy in a meeting” she explained. “I'm his wife, there's no need for that. I'd meet him inside anyways” u responded briefly as I ignored her continuous explanations and made my way into the elevator. In no time, I arrived at the hallway leading to his office. I was glad to finally see the company I'd secretly invested into flourishing. Even though I didn't tell Simon yet about my identity, I'd made sure my pack supported the moonstone pack company. Two weeks ago after Simon's victory in fighting the rogues, I contacted my father to help me write a new contract deal for the company so he could regain whatever he lost in the war. My father couldn't say no to me and he accepted my request and had the contract prepared. Simon told me about it last night even when it was yet to be awarded to him, we already celebrated in a grand way. I wished I could get pregnant so I'd inform him of all the good news at once. My identity and the fact that he would become the new alpha to the black Moon pack. As I reached the end of the hallway on the top floor, my ears were welcomed by the sounds of muffled moans emerging from the office which I assumed to be his. I was dumbstruck at first but I tried not to assume things. It might just be a mistake or maybe it wasn't even him. Who could've been in his office with a woman? I asked myself. My thoughts went back to the times he'd tell me about his promiscuous cousin coming to his office for a visit. What if he came by with a woman to violate my husband's office? I was so angry, I let go of my basket and wanted to confront him. “What if Mira finds out?” I heard a female voice call out my name, making me realize that it might not really be another person inside but my own husband. I was silently listening to their conversation. “I couldn't care less if Mira finds out that we're together. Besides, you're my mate and you're carrying my child. You deserve the Luna position more than her” I heard Simon respond and my heart started to beat fast. My legs went numb and my hands shook frivolously. “Simon?” I called out silently as my ears couldn't believe what I'd just heard. “Are you sure about that, Alpha?” She asked him again, and I was waiting to hear that he'd joked about not caring earlier but he seemed to really not care. “I told you already, I never loved Mira. I was only using her because my father asked that I get married quickly to claim the moonstone pack from Ronald. I never wanted to marry her.. Matter of fact, I'd divorce her soon” he said again nonchalantly. My heart started to ache and I fell to the ground on my knees. They hurt but it didn't hurt more than my heart did at the moment. “Let me tell you something, Rachel. I feed Mira contraceptive pills whenever we get intimate so she wouldn't have my child and become the mother of my heir. I never want anything serious with her. She's better off working behind closed doors while I take all the glory in public” he added.. I clenched my fists so hard my artificial fingernails pierced through my palms. How could Simon be so cruel? Just as my father said he was? Without waiting to listen any further, I pushed the door open and I went inside. “Simon, you bastard! How dare you use me?!” I screamed out uncontrollably. I watched the shock on his face when he saw me barge into his office in rage. “M.. Mira, what are you doing here?” Simon asked. I laughed out manically at his words as I couldn't believe that he'd ask me such stupid question. “What am I doing here? Simon! How dare you cheat on me with your secretary?” I flared up in rage. “Mira, I can explain…” Simon tried to speak, coming at me as he arranged his pants. “Stay away from me you bastard. You're so evil. My father was right all along. You're nothing but a deceiver.” “Oh come on! Shut it Mira.” He yelled at me, sheltering his hands into his pockets.. “Don't act as if you even cared for me or cared if I cheated. You caused this for yourself the moment you couldn't give me an heir” he said accusingly.. “W.. what? I'm the cause of our infertility? Wasn't it you who fed me contraceptive pills so that your mistress could carry your child, Simon?” “Yes, I did that and in admitting it. You're not fit to carry my child, Mira. You're an orphan from a lowly background with no wolf. How dare you even think that I can keep you by my side for long?” He asks without an atom of remorse on his face. Clearly, he'd always prepared for this day to come. “I regret ever trusting you, Simon! You'll pay for your actions!” “Pay? Can you even afford to hurt a fly when you have no wolf?” He asks. My eyes gleamed crimson and I felt my alone crack. Freya was at it again, trying to make me shift but I wasn't ready to reveal my powers to anyone yet. Not especially to Simon. “You dare to call me weak, Simon Vancouver?” I inquired, a smirk appearing on my lips. My heart ached with hatred and anger but it wasn't the right time to deal with my cheating husband. I turned away heading to the door.. “My lawyers will send you the divorce papers soon, Mira. Leave the pack immediately you sign them. And there's no alimony for you.” I heard him say that, but I was also done with his deception. I didn't care if he took all the gifts he'd brought me. All I wanted was to be as far away as I can from a hypocrite like him.
