My fated damnation

You know one thing I love about my life it’s that I am living every American girl’s dream. I have a cool family which is made up of my father, mother, I, then my sister and brother. So you see my perfect life started from my perfect family, down to my perfect grades, then lastly to my perfect boyfriend. I could never ask for anything more and I can boldly say that I love my life right now. I am majoring in Accounting at New York University though my dream college has always been Cornell University in Ithaca, but my parents vehemently disagreed on the basis that it was far, though it was just a 3 hours drive away from home, so I had no other choice than to settle for NYU. Well, NYU didn’t turn out as bad as expected because there, I met the love of my life, Cain. At least I can say one good thing came out of my forced choice of college after all. Cain and I met in my fresher year in college. while I was majoring in Accounting, he on the other hand was majoring in Electrical Engineering and he was a sophomore then. He is a sweet, handsome twink dude from California. One of his predominant features is his blonde hair, tan skin, and gray eyes I always get lost in that gray eyes of his, and you can’t blame me for that. His eyes are so alluring that one can get lost in it and I just fell right into his trap. We have been dating for three years now and with the way things are going, I see us ending up together. You can say that we have dated for a long time, but I am yet to introduce him to my parents because, for some reason best known to them, they have been against me dating all my life. I remember the first guy I introduced to them as my boyfriend in high school. They almost went wolf on the poor boy that he nearly s**t his pants. They bamboozled him with questions giving him reasons why he is unfit for me and in all these one thing puzzled me. They were never this strict with Roselyn, my younger sister, as they were with me and I have longed to ask them why. Roselyn is whom you would call an extroverted social butterfly compared to me an introverted loner. She is bubbly, easygoing, and always making friends and I guess that’s the reason guys found her easier to be with than they did with me, but I didn’t care either because I liked staying on my own with my dramas and romance novels. I am a sucker for love and happy endings so what better way to experience it than locking myself up in my room, reading it, and letting my imagination run wild. Then there is my younger brother Bryan, who is in his senior year of high school. As young as he is, he is already breaking most of the high school girls’ hearts with his handsome face, and well-built physique. Again his being the captain of the soccer team was a cherry on top. I wouldn’t call him arrogant but he doesn’t give a shot about people or what they say about him and he seems to be ignorant most times of the attention he gets whenever he enters anywhere. In as much as it looks as if he doesn’t give a damn to outsiders he sure does care about me and our family a whole lot more than he lets on. Our little family wouldn’t be complete without my dad Ferguson Williams and his ever-loving wife Madelynn Williams. My mum and dad's love story is so surreal and they have told to us countless times that our ear bleeds whenever they start their love tales. Due to how my parents ended up, I have always wanted to have their kind of marriage. A marriage filled with love, understanding, respect, and submission through their PDAs is very annoying most times. They behave like high schoolers who just got their first crush and wouldn’t stop singing the praises of one another. My dad Ferguson Williams owns an Accounting /Audit firm and his company is mostly in charge of the finances of most of the big Companies in New York City. So you can see that indeed I come from a good, wealthy family and I haven’t lacked anything from day one. My dad built his accounting firm from scratch all by himself and he refused to join my grandpa Jacob’s jointed company with his best friend who was into Renewable Energy. Now that you have met my family I would love to properly introduce myself to you guys. My name is Katherina Williams. I am 22 years old and the first daughter and child of Mr. and Mrs. Ferguson Williams. As I earlier stated, I am majoring in Accounting because all my life I have been so good with figures and numbers. Not only that, I have always wanted to take over from my dad in his company whenever he becomes too old and fickle to run it. Among the three kids he has, I am the only one that has ever had an interest in Accounting. What can I say other than that I have always been a filial daughter who has lived her whole life just to make her parents very proud of her? Currently, I am living in a condo very close to college with my sister Roselyn. My college isn’t far from home but the condition that I gave them to attend the university they choose was for me to move out from home. So they had no other choice than to let me, but they being my overly protective parents still insisted that I live with my sister. Roselyn is in the same college as me but she is majoring in Business Administration while on the other side still pursuing her modeling career. You could call her the black sheep of the family. Like she will always say it is her life and she is going to live out the best of it. I was in my condo going over my school work when a knock on the door interrupted me so I had to go over to check who was at the door. I wasn’t expecting anyone this night, Roselyn wouldn’t be coming back because she would be spending the night at her friend’s place. If I remember I didn’t have any plans with Cain because I am very crazy about the guy so I dare not miss out on any plans with him. “Who is it?” I asked the person behind the door “It’s me Ria" came my best friend’s voice. When I heard her voice I hurriedly opened the door to let her in. “Ria what’s going on and why are you here?” I asked her “I thought you were supposed to meet with Josh tonight” I completed my question. Josh has been Ria's boyfriend of five months and their meeting or should I say love story was too cliché to be true so I never really liked the guy, but Ria loved him so much, so I always backed away in matters concerning him. When I looked closely I found out that Ria had dried tear stains on her face so I gently took her arms and sat her down on the chair. “Ria, are you okay? What’s going on with you?” “It seems like you have been crying Ria and your eyes are all swollen and botched up. Could you tell me what is going on because you are scaring the shits out of me" I told her concernedly “It’s Josh,” she said slowly letting out a sob “What about Josh?” I asked her panicking “Is he badly hurt or what?” I asked her yet again “I wish that son of a b***h is badly hurt at the moment” she hissed out “Okay hold up Ria you are cussing your love out," I said jokingly I know Ria so damn well and she is never the one to cuss out. I mean I am a good girl and all that but Ria is a good girl on another whole new level so imagine me being surprised seeing my best friend cussing out “So tell me what did Josh do?” I asked her again As soon as the question left my mouth she let out another sob and this time around she was bawling her eyes out. So I stood up to get a box of Kleenex from the kitchen counter. I drew out some tissue paper and gave it to her to wipe her face. Since she was full-on crying I had to calm her down first before I could let her explain what was going on with her. It took me almost an hour to calm her down and I gave her a cup of water to drink to soothe her throat. I have already lost an hour trying to calm her down and I lost track of time and almost forgot my school paperwork that was due tomorrow morning. I was done with it already but just going through the final corrections before I can print them out for submission. It seems Ria noticed my textbooks scattered on the table with my MacBook on. “Looks like you were busy before I came in," Ria said with some slight hiccups which is an after-effect of her crying her eyes out “Yeah, was just finishing up with my school work" I answered her “I'm so sorry to have disturbed you. I know how you hate it when people interrupt or distract you whenever you are working” she said She sure knows me. I hate distractions and interruptions whenever I am working and my family and friends know not to disturb me when I am engrossed with my work. “It’s nothing, sweetheart, you needed me and that’s why you came to me. Besides I wouldn’t be your best friend if I turned you away whenever you need me would I?” I jokingly said to her “So now that you are all calm can you tell me what that son of a gun did to my bestie?” I asked her but this time around more seriously. “you know I had plans with Josh this evening right?” she asked me and I nodded in agreement “So I dressed up so beautifully to meet with him only for me to get a text saying our plans have been canceled” I gave her a nod signifying that I was listening while rubbing her back to console her so she could go ahead with her story “Since I was already dressed I decided to go outside and grab a bite or two because I wasn’t ready to cook anyways. I headed to the newly opened pub down Josh’s street since that’s the place we were supposed to meet initially”. “you can imagine when I got to the pub to meet with a surprise. I saw Josh with a blondie, his hands were tightly and intimately wrapped around the girl’s waist. At first, I thought my eyes were deceiving me not until I got closer to them. “For a moment I thought that maybe she could be his sister or cousin but he kissed her right on the lips. Cousins don’t kiss on the lips, right? I might not be religious but at least I know that much is incest and a sin condemned by God” “when I couldn’t stand watching them anymore I walked up to their table to confront him". When she got to the part where she walked up to them to confront him she started sniffing and I prayed silently that it does not turn out to be another full bawling session. Luckily she took a deep breath to recollect herself before she continued “When I walked up to them Josh looked shocked and surprised on seeing me but he didn’t make any attempt to get his filthy hands away from the girl’s waist, instead he asked me what I was doing there?” “Imagine the audacity and effrontery” I couldn’t help but blurt out “I asked him who the girl was and the girl answered saying she was his girlfriend and that they have been dating for two years. Rina they have been dating for two f*****g whole years. Turns out I was the side chic and home wrecker after all" she completed breaking down once again I was infuriated when I heard her complete the story. The guy is a douche and that’s why I have never liked him from the very first time I set my eyes on him. I initially warned Ria about him but she was so in love with him that I couldn’t help but stand by and watch them. “I should have listened to you," she said crying “I wouldn’t feel angry if you used the, “I told you” phrase on me right now. “I would never say that to you Ria at least not at this point, but you should know I am always right about things like this” I couldn’t help but chirp. “you know what? Why don’t we turn this night around to a girl's hangout instead? Josh can go to hell for all we care" I went to the refrigerator and brought out some Pringles and a bucket of vanilla ice cream, my favorite. I gave her some of my nighties to change into and with my huge duvet draped over us with our Pringles and bucket of ice cream, we binged on “Young Sheldon" to laugh our lungs out for the rest of the night.
