It is stated that life only gives one chance at redemption but what if I told you that that redemption came through pure curiosity?

Curiosity that paved a way for your joyous moments.

Curiosity that slapped and twisted your point of view.

That same curiosity that spilled the blood of innocents in its horrendous wake.

The same curiosity that led you to HIM.

"Allow your mind to succumb to the beauty of life." * Masked under the informal identities of comfortable clothing were an array of students heading into and out of a mammoth of a building. It shined with the radiance of an ancient citadel, creating the atmosphere of almost an extraordinary experience you only read in books. The walls were lined with bricks that were hand carved by skilled builders and the doors looked centuries old but held that mystic feeling to it. Treading upon the dewy ground came a woman uncertain of her place in this sort of environment but she knew exactly what she needed to do. Having to accidentally step in a shallow hole filled with water, she peered down at her now mucky boot. Catching a glimpse of her present appearance, her cocoa skin was beginning to be dampened by the upcoming drizzle and her dark brown irises were being blocked by the fogginess of her glasses. Seeing this untimely turn of events, the lady quickly wiped her glasses and made her way into the illustrious school, 'Mount Invel University'. * Engulfed by an overwhelming amount of human bodies stood a being radiating with the outmost confidence and the oh so deliciousness of classiness. This person was not just someone you labeled as bland and uninteresting but the person who ran the whole school just by the snap of her manicured fingers. Her name was Talia St. George and my gosh was she a sight to behold. That creamy porcelain skin held no blemishes or any sign of a hard childhood. Her baby blue irises were so sharp that it cut straight through the noisiness of the student body. Her figure was something to behold as her jet back hair fell across her back. Not only was she shaped like an hourglass but she had the right proportions to fill out her ever so modest dress. "This woman is going to be a problem," the dark skin girl thought as she took in the beauty before her. A few seconds later, everyone was seated and looked at the School Board before them. Ms. St. George was the first to begin speaking as the whole arena of bodies was succumbed to silence. "I would like to welcome everyone to a new school year at Mount Invel University. That is for those who are returning and those who are freshmen," she stated with a well practiced smile on her face. Everyone started clapping and some let off a few whistles in excitement. "Yes, we know that all of you are excited to begin this new journey in your lives," she began to say and the ebony girl swear thought she saw her eyes peer up to her, "but there are rules everyone must abide to." The dark girl closed off her ears to the rest of what the beautiful Headmaster had to say and decided to take in her surroundings, something her colleagues in the agency always told her to do. As her head turned to the right, her vision was blocked by someone in some dark jeans, standing but facing away from her. She decided to turn her head away from that view to the other direction. Why did she do that? Heading towards her direction was the School Board themselves, led by St. George herself. "Well, I'm f****d for sure," the girl thought as she wiped her glasses on her hoodie. The Board was shaking hands with random students as they passed by and Ms. St. George was really picky on who she shook hands with. As they neared her, the person on the girl's left was sort of hyperventilating. "Hey, calm down. They are only people. They wouldn't bite you," she whispered softly so that the person could hear her. The petite white girl looked at her and offered her a small 'thank you' in return. It was their time to shake hands with the Board members and instead of shaking hands with the girl besides her, Ms. St. George came directly in front of the cocoa skinned woman and offered her hand. "Talia St. George," she spoke as she drank in the dark skinned girl's presence, "and you are?" The brown eyed lass shook her hand firmly and answered with the most confidence she could muster, "Althea Coleman. Its nice to meet your acquaintance Ms. St. George." "Likewise Ms. Coleman," she replied back as she released their hands and proceeded with other greetings. As she sat back down, the girl besides her whispered in her ear, "If I didn't know any better, I think you might be crushing on her." Althea gave her a are you shitting me look and readjusted her glasses. "Sorry to burst your bubble but I'm into guys," she said back to her and she gathered her things to leave. "My day hasn't even started fully yet and I'm sure that I'm totally on the Headmaster's radar," she mumbled to herself as allowed herself to be circled by the stampede of uneducated children.
