Clarice POV
“What's wrong, Abigail?” She walked past me like I wasn't too big to be seen. Although she had greeted me.
“Something must have upset her.” I adjusted my glasses downwards.
I stalked Abigail to her room as I heard her bang the door, angrily.
“This must be serious.” I hastened my footsteps.
My hands continuously knocked on the door but no response from Abigail.
“Mum, I just want to be left alone. Please.” She pleaded.
“If you let me in, then I'd cease to bother you. Honey please.” Just before I could finish, the door creaked open.
“My workmates are so annoying. There's this girl who doesn't seem to work her wage at all. Always acting like she knows it all.” She raised her fingers above her face level and bent the middle and index finger in. Rolling her eyes and flaring her nostrils, Showing teeth to describe how fed up she was.
“I can't deal with her. She makes me look as if I'm not working hard enough. Urrrh!”
“Poor you Abigail, is that the cause of all these?” I asked.
“Yes mom..it's enough to get me upset” she nodded.
“Your sister owns one of the biggest companies in the country and that shouldn't be the problem. You can always work for her” I proposed.
If she agrees to work for Denise then everything will go as planned.
Thank God for the girl at the office that did this. Now Abigail will have to keep tabs on her older sister.
“Would she let me work there? I doubt” She frowned in disappointment.
“You should call your sister first, Persuade her to employ you in her company. Your degree should help you.” I suggested.
“I have thought about that before and I don't think it's easy. Any plan I come up with, screams of pretend mother.”
Abigail's response lacks so much confidence and tactics.
They are all my baby girls. I know how to persuade them to do stuff and Of Course, they are too young to think smart.
I walked up to her reluctantly to where she was seated. Massaging her shoulders thinking of a good plan to regurgitate.
“It's okay…we'd come up with a sweet plan” my eyes rolled. Catching my reflection of us in the mirror. Wicked smiles play at the corner of my lips.
“What do you suggest? But, momma I do not want to partake in anything that would hurt Denise” she begged.
“Any which way..but we must find a way for Denise to take her spot back. That Angelina of a woman is a home wrecker. Denise let her beat her to her game” I pressed harder on Abigail's shoulders.
“Arrh…” She whimpered. “What do you mean mother, whose side are we on?”
“Colin Of course. We'd plan it in a way that you were attacked when coming back from work at night. That way your sister will plan on lifting you up from these dirty slums again. Seeing that you are not safe and predisposed to danger.”
“Is that all? It's not hard to achieve” She grinned softly.
“Living with her and Greg, also is also in the picture. You have to own their home and send out information to me each time you notice something fishy. We'd attack the company's reputation and sales. That way we unsettle them. They might want to save faces by going into hide or suicide. I don't even care about that”
“So they sell off their huge shares and have Colin become the CEO again that he desperately desires. After that we'd plan on how he will discard Angelina.” She asked. Tilting her neck backwards to see my face.
“Absolutely. Wrong advice too. You have to give her wrong advice so we can eat them deep. After all, Denise is not smart. You are smarter than her my genius.” I grinned softly.
“Gotcha momma. At least this would be our revenge. Serve Greg on a platter for murdering our father. My sister Denise is too blind to see” She added.
“I must send him to jail for making me a widow.” I grinned softly again.
The shrill of Abigail's phone sliced through the silence making both of us keen who the caller was.
“Hey Abi! Is Denise, everything okay?” she signalled me to not speak a word in the shuush manner.
“Yea big sis I'm fine, how is your honeymoon going” Her voice thinner than ever.
“Very well.. I've got something to offer you. I want you to work as my Personal Assistant, is it something you'd want to do foorrh….” Abigail interrupted.
“I'd big sis” she screams out. Jumping like a baby who's just got a birthday cake from her aunty.
“I'm happy you do like to work for me. Get yourself ready. It won't take long to arrive in Las Vegas. Alright?”
“Of Course I'd. Thank you! Thank you!!” She shot her sharp gaze at me. We both grinned at each other softly.
The handwriting is clear on the wall now. On our side. Denise wouldn't know what exactly hit when soon.
“Mom, she just offered me to work with her. How could she be so stupid like that?” She pouted.
“Well, speak of the universe, granting you your heart desires without even lifting a finger. Be mindful of your wishes Abi, you are powerful” I smiled and shook my head sideways.
“Exactly mom, who would have thought!”
“I need to get dinner prepared. Will call Angelina to hear what she has come up with at the moment. I'd call you when dinner is set” I shut the door behind me.
“Alright mom” She shut her door. Laughing out wickedly.

ABIGAIL POV
“What is my mother up to? Hopefully, she doesn't hurt my only rich sister. I don't wish for anything bad to happen to her. I need to be wary of my mother” I said under my breath.
I couldn’t place my hands on the reason why she was on Colin's side. But I had to play along. Leaning against the door and talking to myself quietly.
“Anyway, I'm about to work for the biggest company in the country, that should be my concern. It's important to boost my resume as a matter of fact.” I jumped on my repeated.
“Welcome to luxury, Abi. I screamed!”
