POV The Queen
A few days passed and myself and my friends and the female staff from Sutton Manor had managed to stay out of danger. We all stayed together and I organised for us to sleep in shifts so that we always had a few of us awake in case any one tried to break in but I could hardly sleep because of all the howling. There was howling from outside and from inside the house. The male staff were still locked in the dining room and we had lots of conversations about what we were going to do. Rachel was convinced that it was all going to pass and that we had to be patient. She thought that the army would come to help us or that there would be an antidote for the men. We all knew if we were to let them out that they would attack us and by the sounds they were making we knew that they weren’t calming down. It was strange because they had clearly not ate or drank anything in days but they were still banging the walls and howling. Late one night I went up to my bedroom for a nap but every time I closed my eyes I couldn’t help but think about what was going to happen next. I heard my bedroom balcony doors open and I thought it must have been the wind that blew it open, but when I opened my eyes I was surprised to see the silhouette of a tall man standing at the foot of my bed. He howled as he rushed towards me. But I couldn’t see him in the dark. He pinned me face down on my bed and he held me in that room for hours. I begged him to stop but it was like something had taken over his whole body. He only stoped when Zara came up to my bedroom with a cup of coffee to wake me up. She walked in and seen him and threw the scalding hot coffee in his face. The man jumped to his feet and ran towards the open door out onto the balcony and he disappeared. Zara comforted me and I made her promise not to mention what she had seen to any of the woman. I didn’t want to scare them because they were already terrified. I stayed in my bedroom all day but when I finally came down stairs it was late at night. One of the staff from Sutton Manor a young girl called Natalie was sitting on the sofa crying and all the ladies were crying too. I asked what had happened and they told me that Natalie had went out side to look for her cat and that a man had attacked her. I looked at her face and I wanted to kill who ever had done this to this beautiful young girl. She was only a teenager and this man had taken her innocence. The ladies stood in silence as she sobbed and I knew I had to do something. We couldn’t sit there waiting for the next attack. There was lots of noise outside and it was five men at the front door howling and the male staff that were locked in the dining room where banging on the doors. All of the woman were terrified but I was numb after my ordeal. These people were no longer men, they had turned into something else and I knew I had to put a stop to it all. I went to the basement were the hunting guns were kept and I made my way upstairs. Linda looked terrified as I tried to open the dining room doors. All the woman were screaming for me to stop but I shouted over them. “Don’t you guys get it? They are howling to each other and the longer they howl the more men will come. We are lucky to be out of the city. There must be woman all over the planet that are scared but we have each other and I will die before I let any of you get hurt or I’ll die trying. They aren’t the men we knew, they are animals” I barged my way through and opened the dinning room doors and there was the male staff. They were men I had known for years. Men that I liked and respected and they were staring at us like they were going to rip us apart. So I did what any woman that had just been r***d for hours would do, I put a bullet in each in every one of them and I enjoyed it. I went to the front door and Helen held it open as I shot each and every one of them and I didn’t feel a thing. The anger and the hurt had taken hold of me and I wanted the man that had attacked me to pay for what he had done. I wanted them all to pay.
