Chapter one: the proposal
Amelia Rose began at the envelope in her hands,
The amount stated on the bill was enough to make her stomach twist.
She had three days.
Three days to secure the funds or her family would lose their home
She close her eyes and whispered,
“There has to be another way”
Her phone suddenly rang
“Hello”
“Miss Rose
“Yes”
“My employer would like to meet you tonight
“Who is your employer”

everyone in the city knew the name
Alexander king has young healthy powerful -and known for keeping his private life completely inaccessible

Amelia stared at her phone
She had no idea why a man like Alexander king would want to meet her
But she had nothing left to lose
That evening, she arrived at the upscale restaurant where Alexander was waiting

She began with a sense of humor.
“Then why are you telling me this?
“Because I want you to marry me”.
Amelia let out a short, disbelieving laugh
“You can't be serious.”
Alexander placed a folder on the table
Inside was a contract
“One year”,he said, you we be my wife for one year in return,I will take care of you with enough financial compensation to resolve your family situation.
Amelia stater at the document.
“This is insane “
“Possibly”
“And why me?”
For the first time, something shifted in Alexander gaze.
“You will understand in time”
Amelia frowned.
“That isn't an answer”
“No”Alexander said quietly ,”it isn't”
She looked down at the contract again
One year
A fabricated marriage
A sum that could save her family
She picked up the pen
Then Alexander added one final condition.
Their is one rule you must never break
Amelia looked up
“What rule?”
Alexander voice turned cold
Do not fall in love with me
