The night Amelia’s life change began with a single signature.

She had never imagined that one piece of paper could determine her future, yet there she stood in a quiet office.staring at contract that would tie her to

Alexander was well know for two things: his achievements and his private life.

No one knew what he truly wanted.

Until he looked across the table at Amelia I'm looking for a wife

Amelia stopped abruptly

“A wife she repeated.

Alexander calmly pushed the contract toward her .

“It’s a marriage contract nothing more”

She started at the pages, her heart racing.

The agreement was simply: they would pretend to be married for a fixed period, follow the rules, and walk away when it ended.

But Amelia had one question.

“Why me?”

Alexander’s expression remained unreadable

“Because I know you won't fall in love with me.

He was completely wrong.

Nor of them knew that the contract they were about to sign would change everything.and that the biggest rule would be the one they could never keep.

Chapter one: the proposal

Amelia Rose began at the envelope in her hands,

The amount stated on the bill was enough to make her stomach twist.

She had three days.

Three days to secure the funds or her family would lose their home

She close her eyes and whispered,

“There has to be another way”

Her phone suddenly rang

“Hello”

“Miss Rose

“Yes”

“My employer would like to meet you tonight

“Who is your employer”

There was a brief silence

Amelia stopped abruptly

everyone in the city knew the name

Alexander king has young healthy powerful -and known for keeping his private life completely inaccessible

“Why does he want to meet me “

The call ended

Amelia stared at her phone

She had no idea why a man like Alexander king would want to meet her

But she had nothing left to lose

That evening, she arrived at the upscale restaurant where Alexander was waiting

His expression revealed nothing

“Miss Rose”

“Mr .King”

He gesture toward the chair

“Please have a seat”

Amelia sat down cautiously

“I”ll speak plainly Alexander said

I’m looking for a wife

Amelia nearly choked

I said I need a wife.”

She began with a sense of humor.

“Then why are you telling me this?

“Because I want you to marry me”.

Amelia let out a short, disbelieving laugh

“You can't be serious.”

Alexander placed a folder on the table

Inside was a contract

“One year”,he said, you we be my wife for one year in return,I will take care of you with enough financial compensation to resolve your family situation.

Amelia staterd at the document.

“This is insane “

“Possibly”

“And why me?”

For the first time, something shifted in Alexander gaze.

“You will understand in time”

Amelia frowned.

“That isn't an answer”

“No”Alexander said quietly ,”it isn't”

She looked down at the contract again

One year

A farbricated marriage

A sum that could save her family

She picked up the pen

Then Alexander added one final condition.

Their is one rule you must never break

Amelia looked up

“What rule?”

Alexander voice turned cold

Do not fall in love with me

Amelia slowly set the pen down.

Because some how she already knew that would be the most difficult rule to obey

Chapter Two : The contract

Amelia began at Alexander across the table.

“Why do I feel like you‘re hiding something from me?”

Alexander leaned back in his chair.

“Because I am”

Here eyes widened.

“at least you're being honest”.

“I never promised to be honestly with you“he replied.

Amelia looked at the contract again.

one year.

That was all.

One year of pretending to be Alexander king wife.

She thought about her mother,her younger brother and the house they had struggle for years to keep.

She couldn't lose it.

What happens when the contract expires?”

She asked.

“The marriage ends”,

“And that's it?”

“You walk away with the money.i walk away with my freedom “.

Amelia studied his face.”

And we’re supposed to pretend none of this happened?”

“Yes”

She took a deep breath.

“Fine”

He reached for the contract and pushed it toward her.

“Read everything before you sign”.

“I already know the important part”.

“No you don't”.

His voice was serious enough to make her pause.

Amelia opened the contract.

There were several pages of conditions.

Separate bedroom's.

No interference in each other's personal affairs.

Public appearance's when required.

No romantic expectations.

and one final clause.

Neither party May terminate the agreement without the consent of the other.

Amelia looked up.

“What does this mean?”

“Once you sign the contract, you can't just change your mind.And neither can you”.

“ Correct”.

She considered it for a moment.

Then she signed her name.

Alexander took the pen from her.

He signed immediately.

The agreement was complete .

Amelia slowly pushed the contract toward him.

“So…. we're married?”

“Not yet”

“Tomorrow , you” ll meet my family “
