AXEL
“Mornin,” someone said groggily. Was it Aaron? No, Andrew. s**t, it’s morning. I have a meeting.
“Damn it, what time is it?” I said in near a whisper. I needed to get my voice back quickly.
“I don’t know,” snored Aaron.
“It’s 9,” yawned Andrew.
I looked at my love. He was yawning too.
“You sore, my love?” I said wincing. If I was sore, he had to be.
“A little,” he said, trying to stretch. “Ouch.”
“I’m so sorry, my love,” I said trying to sit up. I really was sorry. We must have been having s*x into the early morning.
Andrew sat up with a wince. “So sorry sweetheart, are you ok?” He asked.
“I’m fine,” Parker said weakly. “I’m sore but it’s what I wanted. In hindsight I may have gone too far.”
He laughed but it came out as a cough. He had moaned a lot last night. And he’d done a lot with his throat.
“What? What? Is Parker ok?” said Aaron sitting up and looking around still half asleep.
“Go back to sleep Aaron, he’s fine,” I said. “All of you go back to sleep. I have a meeting that I’m probably late to already. Seriously all of us are tired and sore so go back to sleep. I’ll be back in an hour.”
Aaron and Andrew laid back down. Aaron didn’t even bother coming over and snuggling with Parker. He just went back to sleep. I got myself up with what little energy I had. Even a few rounds in the ring wouldn’t make me this sore. Luckily it would wear off in a few hours.
It was a short meeting because the Alpha wanted to get back home to his mate. I apologized profusely for the day before and being late this morning. It wasn’t like me. He did say that regardless of that we had made a good impression.
Unfortunately there was no news on the treacherous witch Taliana who had tried to break our mate bond. I knew it wasn’t her fault. But I couldn’t help but keep seeing her face when I thought about it.
I tried to pretend I wasn’t in pain while I spoke with them. Hopefully they were in too much of a hurry to get home to their mates to notice. I was in a hurry to get back to mine. After they left I summoned my Betas and told them we’d be taking the first half of the day off and to bring lunch at 1 o’clock. That would ensure us getting up.
Resting until 1 wasn’t enough. I heard Derek knocking on the door and calling me a lazy slob. I smirked at that and got up feeling at least a little better. I took the tray from his hands completely naked.
“I have actual work to do Axel while you take naps,” he rolled his eyes.
I turned around, wiggling my butt and mooning him as I shut the door.
“I’m gonna file a complaint with Andrew, Axel!” Derek shouted at the door.
I opened it back up. “He’d be on my side,” I smirked. “Tell Lucian to take the day off.”
I shut the door and placed the tray on the counter. Aaron got up and stretched, mumbling about food. Parker sat up in a haze and Andrew followed still holding on to him.
“Breakfast,” Parker said weakly.
“Lunch,” I said.
Aaron and Andrew went to shower and I brought our sweetheart some peanut butter cookies which started to wake him up. He smiled at me. I took him to the shower with me shortly after. I could tell he was still hurting but it was getting better.
“I’m sorry that we hurt you,” Aaron said during lunch.
“No really, it was me,” Parker said gulping down some soda. “I really don’t know what came over me. I wanted you to …well, do what you did.” We all giggled at that. “But maybe not for a while?”
“Of course not sweetheart,” said Andrew. “Maybe not ever again, we went a little overboard. And you had more stamina than ever.”
“Yeah, I couldn’t get enough of you three,” he said. “But I don’t want us to never do that again. Sai was pleased and so was I. Maybe just only every once in a while.”
“Deal,” I grinned. “I couldn’t get enough of you either. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on you, like right now…
They all looked at me in shock and I grinned. “But I’ll wait, I guess.”

The week of the wedding was havoc. We were sort of interim Alphas now so we had taken on a lot more responsibility. Allen and Derek were troopers although Derek had it in his mind still that Allen would be the better Beta.
We were setting up our offices and making Mom’s place into Parker’s office while he worked on planning every event that was coming.
The Bachelor and Bachelorette parties were combined so it was a little easier on Parker. The wedding had moved from inside the woods to on the outskirts. Mandy apparently didn’t want her wedding on the sight of so much bloodshed.
“Why do we have to wear ties?” asked Aaron. “It’s a bachelor party.”
“And bachelorette,” I said. “Plus Parker said it’s formal wear. He wants it to be like prom for older people.”
“He’s the cutest,” said Andrew. “I love the theme : ribbons and bow ties.”
All the guys were wearing bowties and all the women ribbons in the hair. The gender neutral people were wearing bows in their hair or whatever they wanted.
It was a beautiful event. It really was like a prom. It was essentially a dance with occasional games and presents. Lucian couldn’t take his eyes off Mandy. I wondered if I looked just as goofy when I stared at Parker.
He was dressed in a powder blue suit with a red bowtie. Simply adorable. He was eating up a storm too. And all I did was watch him. We had all of Mandy’s favorite foods but Parker couldn’t resist putting peanut butter and lemon cookies on the table. We even had an apple cake.
The party was great but Parker seemed to be a bit tired afterwards. He’d been working his butt off.
“I think I ate too much,” he groaned as he grabbed his stomach and plopped on the bed.
“You did,” I said hovering over him.
“Well I hadn’t eaten all day,” he smiled. “Too busy. Plus who can resist peanut butter cookies?”
“I like the lemon cookies more,” said Aaron plopping down beside him.
“And I liked the apple cake,” Andrew smiled, taking off his bowtie.
“And I liked the chocolate covered strawberries, “ I said seductively.
“Yeah, those were perfect,” said Aaron.
“Exquisite,” said Andrew.
“But they still don’t taste as good as you,” I said.
We only went one round that night because Parker was too tired but we made the best of it.
I woke up to the sound of Parker moaning, but not in a good way. Aaron was standing at the bathroom door while Parker was inside retching, with Andrew beside him.
“Is he ok?” I asked concerned.
“I think so,” said Aaron. “He woke with a stomachache. Might be food poisoning.” Aaron looked pale.
“It’s not food poisoning, I’m fine,” Parker said coming out of the bathroom. “I told you I barely ate yesterday then I overate last night. And mostly ate sweets. My body said no.” He laughed but none of us did. “I said I feel fine. We have a wedding to get to.”
“It might be the flu,” said Andrew. “You’re sweating and overworking yourself.”
Parker rolled his eyes. “It’s not the flu. I can’t get the flu. I’m a werewolf and a white wolf at that. Guys come on.”
“It’s rare but it can happen,” I said. “We need to go to the doctor just in case.”
My phone buzzed and there was only one thing that could turn my attention away from my love's health. My eyes went wide and my head started ringing when I saw the text. It was from an unknown number. I had to get to Derek and Allen.
“Maybe it’s nothing,” I said in attack mode. I tried not to change my light demeanor or however light I was while thinking about my mate’s health.
“I’m going to go check on the bachelor. See if he’s getting cold feet.” I smiled, awkwardly probably.
“What’s wrong?” Parker said immediately. I had to block my thoughts.
“Just pack stuff,” I said. “Need to talk to the Betas too.”
“It’s not rogues, is it?” he said. “Oh, not on their wedding day!”
I walked over to him and pecked him on the lips. “No it’s not rogues, my love. Like I said, pack stuff. I’ll tell you all later. Just take care of Parker guys and get dressed. Wedding’s in 3 hours.”
I left quickly with just some pants and a white tee on. I had to get to my Betas quickly.
What’s going on? – Aaron
I’ll tell you later. Just take care of him. – me
That bad? – Andrew
Kind of. I’ll take care of it. At least for now. – me
I cut off my mindlink. I needed to focus.
Derek was already having breakfast in his room with Lucian when I got there. Lucian had stayed the night and Allen was going to come over in the morning to help him get dressed as well. They were both in boxers and white tees, drinking coffee and laughing. I didn’t even knock.
