I didn't answer Gabriel immediately as I was observing his reaction, as to know how I was going to answer him. He was looking at me with his mouth slightly open and his eyes nearly popping out of their sockets. His whole face was laced with shock.
“Are you being serious? " She’s your mate?” he repeated, almost as if he didn’t hear me well. “That Ella?”
“Yes,” I said abruptly, my voice obviously cold, but inside of me, my emotion was heaving like a raging thunderstorm. I hated the fact that I had split out the secret that I had guarded with so much care.
