Hi my name is norsin today I’ll tell you my story I live in iraq I live is less than normal life a poor family but happy as much as I can remember I’m the oldest daughter I have two young siblings and that’s make me the second Mother for them since I was little and never Had a childhood nor a teenager I don’t object at that I just deep inside me felt kind of sad and I was often act like Childish so I can I get attention of my parents but that never happened so When I got to school and I become one of my class number one and that make me really popular and It’s make me happy so I volunteer to every activity in the school and that gave me a lot of skills that benefits me when I was eight my dad used to hit us very often for the very minimal thing and I thought that was normal until one day my mum and dad got a huge fight and she go to her parents house in the night so I didn’t notice until the morning I wake up and find no one in the home my younger siblings want breakfast but I didn’t find anyone near so I waited till the afternoon so my dad will come home and make us something but when he come he’s just come to us and say your mum got in a car accident and she’s died and I thought that He was joking until I tell him you’re joking right And he said no I am not I’m telling you your mother is dead just forget she ever exist and he go to his room and I start crying with my younger siblings but I stop crying and I want to stop them from crying because I am the oldest I thought that I don’t have the right to cry I go and make them some breakfast some eggs and water very little thing not much time has passed and my grandfather my dad mother she live near us So she called me and when I Arrive there I see my father behind her Smirking and she said to me Web app the flow with done my father tell me to take my siblings and go to my grandmother house I didn’t No why and I didn’t ask because I love my grandmother house so I took my siblings but no one dropped us to their house It was quite far from our home and we have to cross a street a very big one And I didn’t say anything so I go there And I knock the door and my grandma’s come Out and he say you’re not allowed to get in here go back to your home and I was like shock and I didn’t know what to do so I Sit I on The road beside the door of my Grandmother house I didn’t know what to do I thought if I Go back to home and didn’t do what my father asked me he will hit me so I stayed there with my siblings and it was quite hot summer day after one hour of waiting I saw a car go inside the house and inside The car I saw my mother and I was shocked because what My mum she’s alive how can that be Mye my father was wrong and now I have the reason to go back home and tell my home and to tell my father that he’s wrong Soo childish of me I go home and tell him that and he responds whenever go inside and he didn’t know that we stayed in the road for an hour Because he thought that we in the house of my grandmother and my grandmother Thought that we are back to home that’s why no one know that we Where On the road when we come back we eat at our uncle home and go back to our house we were next Door in the night I was crying because of what happened today and my dad starts screaming because we sleep in the same Room he said who is crying and I told him no I’m not crying I’m just sick my nose something like that and he said yes just shut up end I stayed quite After Some day my mum Come but my life was changed after that The war Start and something like that so we had to go somewhere else my dad Suggest That we run to Turkey and live there everyone objects my mom‘s side and my dad side all of them reject why cause they said he can’t have responsibilities he can’t even find a work in his own hometown so how can he find a job in another country with a different language and different people that’s impossible but he didn’t listen to anyone and we go to Turkey it was quite a rough journey but we got there safely and I was hope That new country new life but no one changes he just got worse and worse he started hitting us and he didn’t even learned the language turkey he just relate on us and he started nagging me to learn quickly so I can help them with the translation because they’re so expensive that’s why I learned so quickly Turkish hospital stuff so I can go with them and help them and my mum start working from the morning till the night and I was going to school and every week I have to go with them to hospital and wait there for hours and hours I really start to hate hospitals I till now I never go to them even if I was dying and eventually when I got older 14 my dad starting to introduce me to to his friends so I can’t translate for them for money and he would let me go with them to hospitals for hours and hours And every week so I can help them with the hospital stuff and I was so tired I had to quit some days of my school and the school teacher was screaming at me why I don’t come to school and I can’t Tell him Because my father said I can’t tell Anyone that I work as a translator I don’t know why so I don’t tell anyone and he start taking all the money that I arranged to form translation. He start to quit my mum’s job every month at least two or three times every time she comes from work he started to curse at her and tell her stuff and accuse her of stuff that she didn’t do and he eventually force her quit her job and come back after two days after he Beg her go back to her work because we can’t live if mum doesn’t work he just sitting there watching TV all day long and he even tell us without me you wouldn’t be living and we can’t leave him because He is sick but he really thinks that he buy us or something like that that we are slave to him he doesn’t even respect us he cursed at us in public in front of friends in the school he doesn’t come to school gathering he doesn’t take us to school he’s just deadweight and it eventually start pissing me off not that he hit us or something no because he started cussing at my mum and hit her sometimes I will go to him and say stop. defeating my mum so I make him stop but he will hit me instead it’s okay if it’s me but not my mum because she’s so nice she never did anything wrong, when he go out to drink cigarettes I was often cry after he hit me a lot so I was praying so he can die I played a lot but my mum hit me because she said don’t say that is your father whatever he do you don’t get to say anything and I’ll tell her why he is not even around let me take wet inside me scream a lot but she slap me and she said shut up don’t ever say that and I eventually notice that I defeated someone that actually sell me for free she never defeated me when my father hit me she never did anything or say anything I first thought that she was scared of him but eventually she didn’t do anything because she didn’t care that’s why I decided I have to… To be contained
