When they returned to the hospital she had been moved into a room, but she was still unconscious from the anesthetic they had used when operating on her arm. They had apparently bolted her arm together and then cleaned out the wound and wrapped it in gauze and bandages that had to be cleaned regularly and added a brace to help keep her arm in place to heal properly.
His father had to make a few phone calls, so he offered to sit with her in case she woke up. He stared at her and her pale and drawn complexion suddenly made sense. He tried to focus of something else, but his mind kept returning to everything he had learned and seen that day. He needed to talk to someone. He could only think of one person he could talk to about this.
Finally he took his cell phone out of his pocket
