Chapter 11

As she kept on running, she got to a pavement and with same speed, she tried to cross the pavement, with the aim of reaching the main road that leads to the bus station, while she run from this temptation that is trying to break her long time resolve of not making thesame mistake as her biological mother. She failed to watch her step. Her leg hit an elevated stone by the side of the pavement, causing her left big toe to bruise. She tried to control herself from falling completely but in the process, she twisted the second leg.

As she was almost reaching the ground, she was caught by two strong hands. She felt that same tingling sparks through the contact. The feeling circulated through her whole body, concentrating on her virgina. At that moment, she temporarily forget the pain on her two legs.

Richard also felt the spark, but he felt it more. However, he choose to ignore it and block his wolf Seth, who was getting excited. He was more worried about his mate to think s*****ly.

"What is this feeling..." she trailed off, not sure what she was asking.

He lifted her bridal style and started walking back, towards the diner. He pretended not to hear her question.

"put me down." she said trying to struggle her way from his hold but he held her effortless like a baby.

"I said let me go, I need to go home now" she kept struggling while he ignores her bickering.

Getting to his car in front of the dinner, he opened the passenger" side and gently place her on the seat like a naughty child. Then, he fixed the seat belt, ignoring her protest. He bent down to examine the toe. It was not bleeding much.

He quickly went round to the driver's side securing the locks.

" I am not going anywhere with you." she tried to unlock the door but it wasn't opening.

"This is kidnapping"

"What do you want from me?"

"I don't even know who you are"

"I am Richard your new boss. I have already introduced myself today" He smirked as he turned the ignition, bringing the black SUV to life

"I don't care who you are. Where are you taking me to? she demanded looking at his annoying handsome face, while she fold her arms across her chest. She was surprised at herself for thinking of him as handsome in this situation.

"Home" was his simple answer, as he concentrated on his driving. He can't afford to be involved in any accident while he is with his human mate. The fact that she bruised her toe and sprained an ankle is causing enough stress on him and his wolf Seth.

The ride was silent with Precious looking out through the window while Richard concentrated on his driving. They were both occupied in their respective thoughts. While Richard was thinking of how best to win over his mate soon without scaring her and also to prevent the council of elders from imposing someone else on him. Precious on the other hand was thinking of how one man could be so handsome and perfectly built. Another problem is that she has this weird strong desire to be kissed by him; a total stranger.

Soon they got to her neighborhood. That was when Precious relaxed a bit, knowing that he was actually taking her home as he said. She was afraid that he would take her somewhere else yet she had no strength to fight him.

She was also glad since she knew that her foster parents will not be home by now. She doesn't know how to introduce him to them.

While Mike will be somewhere getting wasted, Bella will still be at work for the next thirty minutes. she hope Richard will go immediately dropping her off. She has no intention of introducing him to her family.

Parking the car in front of her house, he took out his car key and unbuckled his seatbelt.

"How do you know where I live?" Precious asked narrowing her eyes and looking suspiciously at Richard.

Richard ignored her and got down from the car. He came to the passenger's side and unlocked it for her and then helped unbuckle her seatbelt. He then put his hands under her knees and the other hand behind her back then, he gently lifted her out of the car.

"What are you doing?" Precious gasped in shock.

"Let me go. I can comfortably walk on my own"

"Thanks for the ride, you can go" She kept talking while hitting him on his back.

Richard was a very huge and muscular guy that her fragile hands were no threat to him

He carried her to the door while ignoring her tantrums.

"Where is the key?"Richard asked calmly

"What?" Precious was confused by his request

"Where is the house key" Richard repeated more calm than he was actually feeling. Her closeness to him as her carried her was doing a lot of naughty things to the junior man in his pants.

"It is under the carpet" Precious responded. She figured that if she corporate, it will be easier to get rid of him before her mom gets home.

Richard smiled and stoop down still carrying her, soon the front door opened, revealing a smiling Bella.

"What do we have here? Precious and her boyfriend!" Bella exclaimed, stepping back for Richard to carry in an embarrassed Precious into the living room.

Bella has been watching them through the window, from the time the car drove in to the front of the house and through all their bickering till they got to the door. She was surprised to see Precious with a Young Man.

Knowing that they wouldn't find the key in it's place since she has gone in before Precious, she waited for them to knock but they were taking forever. She decided to open the door and get the opportunity to meet the boy in her daughter's life. She was aware that her daughter has been avoiding all kinds of relationship because of her birth history but she was also afraid that if she continues this way, she may never be able to get a man in her life.

Not being able to have a daughter herself, she always regard Precious as her own daughter. Regardless of the fact that she was not financially able to provide all her need but she had always treated Precious with love and care unlike her husband who was nonchalant towards everyone, including their only son who passed away two years ago.

When he reached the biggest sofa, he gently placed his mate on it.

"Thanks you can now go" Precious gritted through her teeth, folding her arms on her chest.

"Don't be rude to you boyfriend. At least offer him a drink" Bella reprimanded her daughter

"He is not... " Precious tried to speak but was interrupted by Richard

"Please, where can I get the first aid box?" Richard asked while facing Bella

"Oh. in the kitchen. check the second drawer by your left" Bella said as she point out the direction to Richard.

Richard wasted no time. He hurried towards the direction Bella pointed.

Immediately he left, Bella stoop in front of her daughter to examine her legs

"What happened you dear. show me" Bella gently placed Precious leg on her feet

"It's nothing serious mom, I promise. its only a little bruise. I don't know why Richard is working himself up" Precious said faking a smile

"Here let me see" Bella examined the foot, there is a deep cut on the top of the toe removing epidermis, but there was only little blood.

"This need to be cut off" Bella refered to the dead skin. Just then, Richard walked in bearing the first aid box.
