"Hey!"

" wait up."

" Precious!" Richard yelled as he ran after his mate, who suddenly decided to escape from work.

"I don't remember telling you my name" Precious said frowning before she turned back to face the annoying handsome guy who has been eye pestering her all day.

He never left his sit at the back of the dinner all day. Looking at him you will assume that he is a jobless, love sick playboy. Actually is the CEO and only heir to various multi-national companies. He is able to command and control a pack of over one thousand wolves also head various companies but this mate pull is a new experience for him. He found it difficult to stay away from his mate all day.

He was casually dressed in a blue jean with a white T-shirt that huge his body, defining his masculine and muscular frame. Every female staff and Most female customers that noticed him in his back sit, were openly lusting for him. Even Precious thinks he was s*xy but weird.

Throughout the day, whenever Precious unintentionally look his way, he was either pressing his phone or making calls but all the time, his eyes never left his target. On occasions, when their eyes met, he would smirk and wink at her, making a kind of unnatural butterfly feelings to erupt from her stomach, thereby irritating her more.

Precious was forced to unintentionally become self conscious throughout the afternoon because she was aware of the eyes following her all around. To make matter worst, she has nobody to complain to since the offender happened to be her new boss.

This job is so important to her that quiting is not an option. her foster family depends on her and on the little that Mrs efiong earns, her education totally depends on her. Most times, she works extra shifts when she is on holiday in order to meet up with expenses

When she couldn't take it anymore, she informed her manager that she is feeling sick and need permission to go home. Gab, her manager granted her permission, since she had never made such request before.

Precious decided to sneak out through the back door to avoid the man waiting for her at the diner, since she resumed work this afternoon. She needs to give herself a break from this strange feeling she is having towards a complete stranger. The idea of meeting him after work was getting scary. Although he looks like a gentleman, but she doesn't trust herself not to leap on him and hug him just to quench the butterfly feelings she has been having since afternoon.

However, Richard at thesame time, felt a little pain in his heart as he sense his mate going away from him and her scent getting faint. He rush inside the kitchen area to find only Gab who was getting some sandwich ready for a customer.

"Where is she?" Richard barked at a confused Gab.

"Who? Alpha" Gab asked softly baring his neck

Gabriel is a low ranked male wolf who has been working at the diner as a manager for the previous owner. He was surprised when his Alpha took over the ownership of a small diner overnight but he wasn't in the position to ask questions but to follow order. This is a small town where werewolves live among ignorant humans.

"where is Precious?" Richard spoke more gently trying to control his temper

"She was sick so she went home." Gab said with fear. He wondered if he has done something wrong by granting Precious the permission. The girl has always been humble and hard working that is why he permitted her to go home without a second thought.

"Which way did she go? I didn't see her leave the diner." Richard asked impatiently

"This way" Gab pointed to the bank door.

Not waiting for another second, Richard ran towards the direction he was pointed to, till he saw Precious walking as fast as she was walking on the first day he noticed that she was being followed. He backpack strapped to her back. She usually prefer carry her books this way since it is easier to carry them to work from school without stress

He kept calling out to her, but she pretended not to hear till he called her name.

And that got her attention.

"But you remembered that I am your boss right" Richard asked when he caught up with her.

"You are only my boss at the diner. You are not the boss of me now, so leave me alone" she retorted, before turning around to continue her walk

"feisty"

"I like that, fit for a Luna." Richard grabbed her hand chuckled.

"What is a Luna?" she asked looking at him with twisted brows

" Forget it. But you Promised me a date?" He pouted looking extremely cute as he tried to distract her from asking further questions about Luna. He doesn't want to say anything that will scare her until he earns her trust.

Precious found herself staring at his pouted lips while she imagined, what it wouldl feel like, to get her first kiss from those lips. To be held in those perfectly toned arms.

"Penny for your thoughts" Richard said and smirked at her

"Oh my gosh! what is wrong with me" Precious thought before quickly composing herself.

"leave my hand" she commanded as she wringle her hand with the intention to free it from his hold

"Not until you fulfill your promise" he appears to be making no effort to hold her but all her efforts to free herself seems in vain.

"I don't remember making any promise to you" she yelled, trying to ignore the strange tickling feeling that his hold is causing on her hand

"Don't tell me you have a short memory cupcake" he said pulling her closer to his chest. for some odd reason, she didn't try to push him away. He brought down his head and inhaled her scent. Precious found the action strange so she pulled away to look at his face in surprise.

"What do you want from me?" She asked, trying to control the confusing and trembling feelings their contact is causing her.

"Please be my girlfriend" he said looking so irresistible. He is not the first guy that have ever asked her out but the difference is that, while she easily tell those other guys off, she is having double mind doing same now. It feels like a strange force is pulling her towards him. A total stranger.

"I... I can't. I am still underaged" She stammered, giving the first excuse that came to her mind.

"You will be eighteen in two days" He chuckled pulling her closer

"I know. but I don't think I am ready for any male/female relationship now. it comes with lots of complications that I know I am not ready for" she said moving away from his embrace. Then she stepped back slowly

"please don't go yet, I ..."

"This discussion is over. please don't follow me. I need to go home ." She ran off towards the bus station.
