Neglected mate of an alpha

Chapter 7

After replacing the phone, Precious decided to go home. The last of her colleagues has already left. The road is deserted but she is used to going home late on this road. She was deep in thoughts about the news she just received on phone.

She had mixed feeling about the information she got from her father's attorney. She was happy that Mark was her biological father but at the same time sad that she only found out when he was already dead. There are many questions in her mind as she walk through the deserted street towards her present home. She wished he was still alive. There are many unanswered questions like; Who was her mom? why didn't they get married? why was she abandoned at the orphanage?

She was unaware of two guys following her from behind. The first guy had been stalking her for days from the diner to bus stop. He noticed how attractive she looked while serving him at the diner on the first day he came there to have lunch. He waited for her in the dark daily, with the hope to r**e her when he gets the opportunity. He is a notorious serial r****t.

The second guy was about to enter his car when the scent reached his nose, turning his world upside down and inside out. He felt a sense of intoxicating urgency. He looked around, trying to find the source of the scent. It was a soursop flavour mixed with floral scent. The scent was simply Divine.

He could sense the innocence and purity in the scent. Then he saw her, she was dressed in a simple blue jeans and yellow T-shirt with long black hair reaching to her bra length. Her hair was neatly packed in a ponytail. There was nothing seductive about her, but yet he felt captivated by her. She was taking quick and steady steps towards her destination.

He noticed immediately that she was human. The guy, who seems to be stalking her is also human. The second guy who is now smitten by her scent is a werewolf. He is also an alpha. He started trailing both of them.

The second guy is Alpha Richard churchill. Richard is a twenty four years old Alpha of the midnight pack. Although he has not found his mate, he practically runs the pack for his father, Alpha Daniel churchill.

He is known for his ruthlessness. His pack is well respected in the whole region because of his wisdom and strength. He was surprised to discover that his mate is a human girl.

Although she looks under aged, based on what he can see from her side view, he saw himself being drawn towards her. He already felt protective of her.

Suddenly, she felt that she was being followed, she glanced back to see the first guy, he wore a black coat with unkept bears. She quickened her step and so did the guy behind her. She broke into a run and the guy tried to do thesame but Richard moved with his wolf speed and intercepted the guy.

Dragging him towards the alley by his coat, Richard smashed his head against the wall.

"Why were you following that girl?" Richard roared.

"How is that your business?" The guy retorted even though he was already bleeding. Richard smashed his head again

"Please don't kill me. You can have her to yourself. I will find another girl" the guy pleaded

Richard pushed him away and turned to go. The guy picked up a plank on the floor looking triumphant, he smashed it on Richard's head. Richard was provoked, although the plank did little or no harm to him. He turned back slowly to face the already shocked man.

"I... I am sorry, I didn't mean to hit you. You see... I am so attracted to that girl. We... we can both take turns on her ..."

Richard snapped his neck before he could finished his sentence. He quickly dispose of the guys body.

After that, Richard followed Precious to the bus stop, boarded the same bus with her. He sat behind her and never took his eyes off her. He followed her till she reached her house. Then he saw Bella open the door for the girl.

Richard could not resist the temptation to stay longer and watch Precious, whom he now discovered is his mate. He could not believe his luck that he found his mate on the day he least expected.

He came into the city to meet with one of his debtors but on sighting his car the man escaped from the back door making Richard furious. It was on his way back home that he met his lovely mate, Precious.

He walked around the house, following her scent. Then he noticed the light of her room turned on. The curtain was down but with his sensitive eyes, he could make her out as she move around her room. He finally saw her face, she is light skinned but definitely of African origin. She is an epitome of beauty. Despite her age, her breasts are of good size with curves in the right places. He climbed on to the window, supporting himself on the rails.

He saw her enter her bathroom to shower and wish there was a way he could introduce himself to her without shocking her. He could come closer and watch her shower but on a second thought, he decided that she was still under aged as human, he was not sure if he could control himself if he sees her naked.

He waited patiently for her to finish showering, then she came into the room, already dressed in her pyjamas. She didn't go back down for dinner. It means she must have had dinner at the diner.

Finally, she switched off the light. The room was in total darkness, but with his wolf eyes, he could still see her on the bed. She drew the cover on her tired self and closed her eyes, unaware of the pairs of green eyes watching her.

Richard lost track of time while standing on the same position, holding onto her window. It was the vibration of his phone in his pocket that drew him back to awareness.

"Yes dad" he whispered gently

"It's almost midnight and you are not back to the pack. How was your business with Mr Max." His father enquired

"No. the bast**d ran away but I am still glad I came" Richard added smiling at the phone.

"Well get your ass over here and give me the details" the alpha said before cutting the line.

After the call Richard call someone else, his reliable private investigator

"I need all the details about the family that lives in the address I texted you now. Every detail and urgently" He spoke as soon as the phone was picked. He didn't wait for a reply from the other end.

He jumped down quietly from the window and start making his way to woods. He intends to run in his wolf to his car since the time has past to catch a bus back.
