Despair

SCOTT POV Gone. That one word had the power to stop my heart. My mate, my luna, is gone. My wolf started to whine and pace. His emotions were a mixture of anger, worry, and sadness. Why hadn't she just come back with Blair and Mitch? Why did she have to be the hero and stay behind? Questions ran through my mind, but I knew there would be no answers to. I had no way to communicate with her, no way to find her, and no way to know what was going on with her. The only thing that gave me a small amount of peace was that I couldn't feel the pain of intimacy between her and anyone else. If I were to feel that I'm sure it would be from being forced to, being tricked, or for survival. A few weeks have gone by, and I've been struggling to function. There's been no sign of her anywhere. All the wolves in Alpha Dean's spy program that he trusts have been told to find her, all packs have been notified all over the world, even the Alpha King has been notified, but there's been nothing. I don't know how much longer I can keep the little bit of control I have over my wolf. All we want to do is find her and show her that we will love her. DEAN'S POV It's been months since my sister went missing. I haven't felt the break of a familial bind, so I know she's still alive, but I'm starting to lose hope I'll see her again. I checked the area Drake took her to the first time he took her, but there was nothing. I reached out to the Alpha King, Theo, for help we check in with each other once a week. We've known each other for as long as I can remember, and finding Anna is just as important to him as it us to me. I've been taking care of the Black Rock Pack as well as my own. Scott has taken the loss of my sister hard. Being her mate, it's understandable. In the beginning, he tried so hard to still stay on top of things, but as time had gone on, he's been more and more spaced out. I worked with the authorities and managed to buy the land between our two packs. Scott and I split the land and the price in half, so now we're neighbors without the unclaimed land between us. It has also made caring for his pack easier. My phone ringing snapped me out of my thoughts. With hope and an equal amount of skepticism, I answered, hoping it was about Anna.
