I blinked a few times at the fifty red roses in Ridge’s arms, covering his face from view.
“You brought me flowers?”
He dragged the bouquet down so I could see his sheepish smile. “Do you like them?”
“They’re beautiful, Ridge. You didn’t have to.”
“I did. I shouldn’t have acted that way at the bar. I just missed you, that’s all.”
I bit the inside of my cheek. I didn’t want him to apologise and make grand gestures for me because it tugged at my heartstrings. I stepped aside so he could come in.
“I know you’re busy. You’ve got your hands full with Cass, your job and this new business. I wish you’d let me take the load off you, babe.”
“I just…” I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.
“I promise to be a better boyfriend, babe.”
