Regret. Shame. These were the two emotions which I awoke with after spending a passionate night with Jake. Sitting up, I pulled my jeans on, thankful that King had brought me normal clothes on his last visit. Lacing up my boots, I scanned the grassy area around the lake in search of my shirt; I currently had Jake’s shirt on, which caused me to pause, where was Jake? And why had he left without waking me for his shirt? I wanted to believe that everything was fine between us, but I had a feeling that wasn’t going to be the case. I was a terrible person, I had pretty much used Jake and I felt terrible about it; in fact I wouldn’t blame him if he never wanted to speak to me again.
