Jake and I had spent hours together out in Flora, majority of the time had been running and learning how our new shifting abilities worked, nothing about being this creature was easy and I worried how long it would take us to get accustomed to the changes, Jake was definitely doing better than I was; he could already control his shifts and confine the shifts, meaning that he could shift only his desired parts, such as his legs or a hand.
We had asked King to get us blood from a butchery, Jake was happy to hunt but I couldn’t bring myself to do it.
Jake grinned over at me, showing off his vampire fangs.
I sat down on one of the rocks that surrounded the lake we had stopped at; it was breathtakingly beautiful.
The water was clear and shone magically under the sunlight.
