The place where she was born is near, her steps become slower that she can hardly step her feet and her grip in Eustas hands become tight.
Eustas looked at her being in confusion, to go home or not. He stopped to talk to her but Helliana didn't feel it until he can not drag Eustas.
"What?" she asked.
"Come here," he said Helliana move to him closer. He gave her a warm hug that she will never forget, "Always remember that I love you, we should be strong...If you want this relationship to be strong."
Helliana nodded to agree with him, "I love you too," she replied.
"I am glad you love me too, that's enough for me to trust you. Going home doesn't mean breakup, I will visit you again and again." He let her go in his arms and give her a passionate kiss.
Carter on the other side feels disgusted and ready to puke. He is guarding the place using his telescope.
"Yes, I know. I love you so much." She cupped his face and give him a fast kiss.
"Hey, love birds! There are a group of people coming from Wolves kingdom."
Helliana's heartbeats fast than normal. She nibbled her lips and her eyes welled up with tears.
"You can go now, I am okay here. I can go home alone from here," she said with a shaky voice. She was about to let go of his hand when Eustas hold it tight and hug her for the last time.
"I will miss you."
"Eustas, they are coming here!" Carter reminded him.
Rule:
Vampires and Wolves can not meet nor touch each other.
"I will miss you too," she whispered and cry.
"Eustas!"
"Eustas, you need to go. I am okay here, please." She pleaded in tears. His hug went tight but Helliana takes off his arms around him, "Eustas, go now. Wolves are dangerous but they are good in humans." She assured him.
Eustas sighed and wipe her tears, "Don't cry, take care always, okay? Eat more!" he said while his voice cracked. "Paste the painting up on your bed." One tear fell.
"Yes, I will. You too, please take care of yourself."
They are both crying holding each other's hands. Shaking and longing.
"Eustas, we need to go or they will kill us!" Carter said and pulled him but he didn't move a bit, "Eustas!"
"Eustas, please let go now! You need to go!" she shouted hysterically. She is nervous that they might caught.
"No, I can't!" he replied.
"Eustas, can you hear yourself?! Let's go, they are coming!" Carter insisted.
"Eustas, Listen." She cupped his face. " We can do this, I love you so much and I meant it. It will be always you no matter what," she whispered while staring at his gloomy eyes. She kissed him again and let go.
"Pull him, Carter! I will go now, take care of him, please!" she said in teary eyed.
Carter nodded his head and pull him, "Let's go!"
She heard him shout at him. She glanced at Eustas and smile, she waved his hands from side to side and pick the bottle of water from her bag.
Eustas waved his hands before Carter already pulled him to ran fast as lightning.
She poured the bottle of water into her body so that they will not smell Eustas or vampire smell.
She walked until she gets out of the forest, magical forest. She stopped and look at the whole of it. This is their shelter for many weeks. She continued walking until he reached the group of wolves and saw her best friend.
"Helliana! Is that you? Really?" he asked her and touched her face. "Why are you wet?"
"Can you bring my bag? My back hurts," she lied even if she wanted to cry. The ache inside her is growing.
"Okay, okay, let me wear this. Wow, is this you? The painting?" he asked in surprise and amaze.
"You can go back now! Tell Alpha that I am coming!" she said loudly. She felt weak.
They bowed down their heads and walked away.
"Yeah, Zack. Can we talk after I rest? I am really tired." She nibbled her lips when it trembled. She looked up at the sky when it her eyes become watery.
"Sure, you owe me many stories," he answered, "Let's go." He pulled her. "Why so lazy?"
"I am just tired, you know. I just walked from there to here."
After a minute of pretending, Zack ask her, "Really? You can not hide anything from me, Helliana. What happened to you?" he asked again.
Helliana's knees trembled and she stops walking. The tears she was holding back run from her eyes to her cheeks.
She sobbed on her knees while sitting in the middle of the road, "I left him! Why do you have to go in the forest?! Why can't you wait for me to go home?!" she shouted.
Zack sighed and sit beside her, "Alpha command us, he is worried sick of you. He never knew where to find you after you enter the forest," he told her and wrap his arm in her shoulders.
Her sobbed becomes louder, "I told him that I will be back! I hurt him! Pushing him away breaks my heart seeing his blue eyes welled with tears," she whispered. Her shoulders are trembling so Zack pulled her head to lean on his shoulder.
He doesn't know what she is talking about but he knows that she is talking to her mate.
"Everything will be okay, Helliana. I am sorry, we didn't know that you going home now, you should talk to Alpha about it, hmmm?"
She can still remember how he cried and hold her but she can't let him caught in action, caught them in action. She is a wolf and he is a vampire. They break the rule, no, Helliana breaks the rule.
"Alpha! We are here now! Helliana is with me!" Zack shouted when they get there inside the palace.
"Where is she? My daughter!" Helleon shouted as he runs from the second floor of the palace.
Helliana is a bit tired and upset. When his dad was about to hug her he walked through him like she didn't see him.
"Helliana! It's me your awesome dad! I miss you so much!" he yelled to be heard him but Helliana didn't respond.
"Alpha, she is tired. She will talk to you later. Let her sleep for now." Zack said and pat his back.
"I can't believe it, she never greets me, we never see each other for long," he replied while looking at where Helliana walk.
"She is mad because you did ruin her last day and last hour of his mate."
His eyes widened, "Did she already saw her mate?" he asked.
Zack made a fake smile and rub his head, "I don't know, Alpha. Ask her to make sure, she is upset."
He facepalms and groaned, "So, it is my fault all throughout? But she said she's gonna out for a week, Zack."
Zack shrugged his shoulders, "Just talk to her once she got her rest completely." He smiled.
A beta comes out from the kitchen with a tray of fruit in her hands.
"Oh, maybe you wanna eat. They have prepared food for all of us, Zack."
"Thank you, Alpha."
The Alpha walked in the stairs to look for her. When she gets in front of her room he stopped and think if he will knock or let her rest.
When he is still making a choice a door from his daughters opened wide. Helliana stepped out and shock that she saw her dad. Hellion is looking away while covering his face.
"Daddy!" she called him and hug him from the back.
She is from a fresh bath.
"I am sorry, I didn't talk to you earlier. I am just tired and I am sticky." She said sincerely.
Her dad cried, he thought that she forgets about him because of her mate.
"Shhhh...Dad, don't cry. I love you, I am sorry." She pouted her lips.
"Don't be like that again, okay? You told me to went to the forest in a week but you get back in one month! How do you eat there?" he asked worriedly as he thinks about what his daughter experience living in the forest.
"Yes, daddy. I miss you too, I know you miss me." She is still hugging him. "I ate what can I eat dad! So, you don't have to worry!"
"I missed you, my princess. Don't make me worried again."
He faces her and hugs her.
