WRITER’S POV The forest pulsed with the rhythmic beat of drums and the hum of expectant voices. Moonlight filtered through the branches casting eerie shadows across the clearing where Axel’s captives were assembled. Audrey’s heart raced as Axel dragged her into the center of the festival his grip unyielding his eyes glinting with a dark satisfaction. She struggled against his hold but he only smirked enjoying her discomfort. As she was forced forward she saw them: a group of men and women bloodied and bruised standing shackled in a line. They were the so called wolf hunters Axel had captured in his latest strike. A show of his strength and a warning to any who dared threaten him.
