Chapter 1
Zara's heart raced as she adjusted her reflection in the mirror. Her cheeks flushed a soft pink, her lips parted in a broad smile, and tears shimmered in her eyes.
"Finally, after months of waiting, Tom is coming home!" she exclaimed, spinning in a circle before pulling Sonia into a tight embrace.
Sonia chuckled softly, patting Zara's back. "Tom’s finally ready to step into his role as Alpha, and you'll be by his side as his Luna. You’re the luckiest girl in Shadowmoor." Her tone was light, but her smile faltered as she glanced away.
Zara’s joy was infectious, and she missed the shadow that flickered in Sonia's expression. "Sorry, what did you say?" Zara laughed, playfully tapping Sonia’s cheek.
Sonia grinned but quickly changed the subject. "Really, Zara, I hope I find love like yours one day."
"How do you think Tom will react to the news?" Zara asked, her voice dipping into uncertainty. She began pacing, her fingers twitching. "Should I be worried? Should I wait to tell him? Or should I just stay by his side like a loving mate?"
Sonia grabbed her by the shoulders, forcing Zara to stop. "You worry too much, my friend. Sit down and let me fix you up. You’ll look perfect for your Alpha—our future Luna."
Zara laughed, her nerves momentarily easing. The two friends spent the next hour preparing, Zara's excitement shining through every movement.
Tom’s return to Shadowmoor was a grand affair. The pack members gathered at the gates, eagerly awaiting the new Alpha. Zara stood among them, her heart pounding as she spotted him at a distance.
Tom walked with the confidence of a leader, his broad shoulders squared and his dark eyes scanning the crowd. The pack cheered as he greeted them, his voice booming with authority.
"Behold the new Alpha!" he announced, shaking hands and flashing smiles as he passed.
Zara’s chest swelled with pride as she watched him. This was her mate—strong, respected, and hers. Her hands trembled as she stepped forward, waiting for her moment with him.
When Tom finally approached, her breath caught. It had been months since she last saw him, and she longed for his embrace, his warmth. But his greeting was cold, almost dismissive.
"Hi," he said curtly, barely sparing her a glance.
"Hi, Tom," Zara replied, her voice faltering. She searched his face for the affection she remembered, but his gaze was distant.
"I have important matters to attend to," he said, his lips curling into a smirk. "Matters that don’t involve the weak." His laugh echoed as he walked past her, leaving her standing frozen in disbelief.
Her heart cracked, the joy she had nurtured all day crumbling into dust. "What just happened?" she whispered, her throat tightening.
Tom, still unaware of all that’s going on went to a secret cabin up in the woods and as usual, his mistress, Sonia was already there waiting for him.
"Do you want me inside you?" He asked Sonia and she nodded, after all she hasn't seen him for a long time so she was willing to grab this opportunity.
He kissed her on the lips towards her neck while his hand was on her breast, he went on to suck it. She felt a strange warmth in her body as Tom kissed her neck and sucked it a bit making her moan gently.
His kiss went down to her shoulders and chest as she slowly lay down while he was still kissing her, he stopped in the middle of her thigh he did not think twice to lick it and suck it over and over again.
He inserted his tongue and twisted it, she felt the itch and just had to moan loudly because of pleasure. Sonia could not imagined that this is happening now because it's been her dream to have s*x with him again after so many months that he was away.
She was bent down while Tom was thrusting her so fast from behind, there was so much pleasure that her moan got louder and Tom had to cover her mouth so as not to draw too much attention. “f**k it, it's so great to have s*x with him,” Sonia said in her mind.
He began thrusting very fast and so she had to hold the headboard of the bed, she couldn’t help but moan out loudly as the speed increased.
They tried sitting on the pillow top position and it felt so comfortable because she had a pillow down and she was facing the headboard. She then bent her knees upside down to spread her legs. "f**k this feels great" he said, thrusting faster and he spreads her legs more.
After they finished that position they also try ‘lean into me’ position, where they find a wall first and lean against it. They faced each other and Tom held her butts, as she hooked her leg around him to have a support. They rub the tip of their p***y and d**k together, and when they were comfortable in this position, they continue to f**k until they both reach o****m.
They tried last position and it's boycott position because this time, they will face each other pp. When they were both in the position, he started to thrust his tongue in her so she sucked him too, his d**k was so big that it reached her throat, so only half was in her mouth while the other half was stroking. They had s*x for hours and used different positions until they were satisfied.
When they were done, Sonia cleaned up and went over to meet Zara but couldn’t find her anywhere.
Sonia found Zara moments later, sitting on the ground, tears streaming silently down her cheeks. "Zara! I saw Tom at the tavern… with James. And there were two women on his lap," Sonia said hesitantly, her voice filled with pity.
Zara’s breath hitched, her hands balling into fists. "This is the exact opposite of what I imagined. Why is this happening to me?"
"Let me help you up," Sonia said, pulling Zara to her feet.
"No. I need to see this for myself," Zara said, her voice trembling with resolve. She straightened her back, wiped her tears, and made her way to the tavern.
As she reached the entrance, laughter erupted from inside. Her jaw clenched as she peered through the doorway. There he was—Tom, her mate—drunk and reveling, two women comfortably perched on his lap.
"By the way, where is my father?" Tom’s voice rang out above the noise. He grinned as he addressed the crowd. "Is he jealous that I’ve come to take the position he cherished most?" Tom and his father have never been in good terms before, he's always rude to Tom and finds every means to punish him.
The room fell silent, the weight of his words sinking in.
Tom’s mother, Ella, appeared in the doorway, her face pale and lined with grief. "Tom," she called softly.
"Hey, Mum!" Tom greeted her with a carefree smile. "Have you come to celebrate with us too?"
Ella’s voice hardened. "Follow me. We need to talk."
Tom’s grin faltered as he noticed the somber expressions on his family members' faces. He followed Ella out of the tavern and into the pack house.
"Mother, what’s wrong?" Tom asked, his brow furrowing as he noticed her trembling hands.
She turned to him, tears pooling in her eyes. "Your father…" Her voice broke, and she covered her mouth to stifle a sob.
"What about him?" Tom’s heart pounded in his chest, fear creeping into his voice.
"He didn’t wake up last night," Ella whispered.
Tom froze, his world tilting. "You mean he’s… dead?"
Ella nodded, tears streaming freely now. "Your father didn’t die of natural causes, Tom. Someone did this."
"What?!" Tom’s voice rose in anguish. He ran to the pack’s ceremonial chamber, where his father’s body lay surrounded by mourners. "Who could have done this?"
Ella placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "The seer had a vision, Tom. She told me something disturbing—something I haven’t been able to share until now."
Tom’s body stiffened, his gaze fixed on his mother. "What did she say?"
"The seer saw a young she-wolf with a moon-shaped mark on her back. She said this wolf is responsible for your father’s death and will bring about your downfall if she remains in the pack."
Tom’s heart dropped as realization dawned. His mind raced, connecting the dots. He turned sharply as the door creaked open.
"So sorry for your loss, Tom," Zara said, stepping into the room. Her voice was soft, hesitant.
Tom’s eyes burned with anger as he took a step toward her. "Why, Zara? Why did you do it?"
Zara’s eyes widened in shock, her voice trembling. "Do what?"
Her confusion was met with silence as Tom’s gaze bore into her, his grief twisting into suspicion.
