Chapter 26
December 22nd
Damn, exhaustion didn’t even begin to define how tired I was.
As I entered the house, a hallway light turned on automatically, but it wouldn’t be long before it shut off. It was weird, coming home to all the lights off, especially since Banner’s car was in the garage.
Not that I called out for him with the size of the house, since he probably wouldn’t hear me anyway.
Maybe he was in his office, which was upstairs in the back of the house, so I wouldn’t see the light on from outside. He spent more time at home lately. He joked it was the only way he could see me because of the ever changing odd and late hours I’d been keeping with my job.
