Failures are Inevitable

For every level there is another devil, it's all within you and it is you who is going to decide. To live to your fullest, you need to stop living the mediocre. Get up and start moving. It's only you who can travel. Life isn't an event, but journeys where we come across the moments; some of which are memorable and other are mundane. Stumbling upon the failure we grasp the success, but the word 'success' is often misinterpreted. Often it is the tiniest thing that makes the life interesting and bring immense joy, even though while living the moment we wouldn't know it.

Complied in the form of book, I'm here to share a few of my 'major' incidence with you people that tantamount to success in my life. Packed with hilarious narratives, poignant observations and a writing style that had been adorned by the close circle (till now), this book is an attempt to strike the chord with anybody who have enjoyed the life to its fullest.

The pebbles from life's journal
It has been a while since I have started writing stories, narrating them and earning from them and to say it has been a phenomenal experience would be an understatement. It is almost a rollercoaster ride where every new assignment promises undiscovered adventures, breath-taking heights and challenging scenarios, but as it has been precisely stated that every single thing in this world comes at a cost and the cost wouldn't always be monetary. It takes sweat, blood, burns and the soul to create a masterpiece. It takes everything within one to get up and get moving and it takes only one moment to decide. And here I decide. As a storyteller and novelist, through writing, I have discovered a new me who isn't afraid of expressing her thoughts and opinions. The new me is bold (that I am in all sort of sense except romantically), courageous, fun-loving and thoughtful. The new I love to talk with people over w*****d DMS. She loves to hear everyone's opinion on her work takes criticism finely and sometimes chats randomly in the inline-comments and i********:. The new me smiles, laughs and doesn't worry about her future because there is a faith deep within her that everything will turn out favourable and the life will be fine by the end. The new me is hopeful and she is Anne. Anne Singh Rajput or @storytelleranne is a personality that I have discovered in the books not as a reader, not as a listener but as an author. Surprisingly, I didn't go to her but she has stumbled in my life, slipped within mysteriously and with time has become my one true companion. She isn't a reader but an author. She doesn't listen but only writes. She doesn't think but imagine and she doesn't survive, she lives. She is everything I could imagine myself to be and somewhere deep within I know that it's Anne who is going to survive amidst the pile of books. In a world full of unfairness and mysteries, she has been standing out for herself because it is she who understands the way this world works. It isn't just another fictional novel involving two people into a budding romantic relationship who despite all the odds will always end up together because the author wants it, instead the collection of stories, events and scenarios compiled in the form of the book is a tale describing my journey. Initially, I started writing under the username @adorablekomal which was later on replaced by @storytelleranne that you know now. I wrote the first chapter of when it rains-when the heart weeps in April 2017 under the same name. A random Bollywood romantic number was the inspiration that I started writing it. Things weren't as clear as they are now. I was a newbie struggling to pen down a story. Unlike other authors, I find my inspiration from songs and incidences-both Hindi and English. It is fascinating how the beats invade through the soul and capture the heart as it rules over the brain for a few minutes and in those minutes evolution of a new story takes place. Eventually, as the song capture its pace and the lyrics start to make sense, the portrait of characters becomes clear and the mere idea of making something new grows into a full romantic story. The change of stanza introduces different phases of the story and with the end of the song comes the epilogue of the book. It's almost magical but true. The lyrics by the singer became the ambition of male protagonist, Surya while the swirl of the actress in the video became the personality of Sonia. If I'd be honest, I didn't know the pace of the story, the c****x, other characters and the end when I was writing the prologue. Most of the time I don't. I just boot up my laptop, open the windows and start writing without having any idea of how things will end up. The thrill of the prologue gets soon replaced by a new chapter and with the introduction of a new chapter things start to make sense and the picture for the next chapter becomes clear. I pretend to be a lost painter who has been provided with an empty canvas and knows nothing about drawing for the first few moments and then, he starts to paint. The first stroke of the brush, followed by another and then another; he keeps on revolving the brush on the canvas and stops only when the canvas is full and its emptiness is filled with colours. It's risky. Most of the time it is because the uncertainty of what might happen and the anticipation of not knowing anything makes thing worse and it all turns into a nightmare when readers start asking questions. That's when the wittiness of Komal comes handy. Very often, I dodge the questions successfully with twisted remarks and the famous 'I don't know, let the story pick up pace' reply. People buy it, trust me they do, but as the story progress, I find myself falling in love with the characters, the scenarios and dialogue. I start to see the way it should roll out and the 'epilogue' it must have and thus a journey that had started with nothing becomes everything. Things turned harder for me when the gift of love came into the picture. It was my first story on w*****d that was making up space in the hearts of many, despite its dark theme, the girls loved it. The initial admirers of Viraj and Kratika might know about the former title of the book-you are mine! As cliché as it may sound, but it is true. It was a random w*****d benchmark plot novel where the bad boy falls in love with a girl and does everything to have her even if it means to abduct her for marriage and have illicit i*********e and turn everything in his favour including the victim like he owns the god damn world. I wanted to portray Kratika as a timid girl (like the other #1 novels I have come across) but it never came. She never came to me. I couldn't picture an assaulted Abla, who would simply accept whatever happened to her without fighting back, but it was too late and people had started loving Viraj in the way he was. I won't deny the sympathetic gushes Kratika had earned from our female readers (Some of them questioned upon my ambition on writing such kind of novel, but then I am a pro in dodging things and thus got saved), but the love for Viraj was almost overpowering and I had to continue things as they were. The next gem for my pride was the billionaire's illiterate bride, the revolutionary love story of Kabir and Henna that couldn't be delivered the way it should have been because I was an amateur. It is my first COMPLETED novel on w*****d and was drafted a week after I had finished drafting 'Prologue' of when it... The book is my favourite not because it is completed (Ha! Making me feels all successful) but because it has provided me with the platform I desperately needed. I have conjured things, fumbled with poor imagination and limited vocabulary, but somehow it ended and it ended well. I am a slow writer; mark the word people, 'writer' not 'typer'. If I reveal it truthfully, I am a lazy person who procrastinates a lot unless she is provoked to drag herself off the bed and actually do something. (My mother yelling the background the fill the water bottle is another kind of motivation) despite all the hanging things and postponing them, I have successfully completed HIS BABY GIRL and soon When it rains. With this book, we will travel through the pages of past, walk back to the journey I have lived with you people and giggle at a few hilarious, embarrassing thing I have come across.
